Pamela (pameladn) | 2 comments I read this series in the late 1970s. It was a humorous series about a boy and his brother living at the turn of the century. One book was about his family putting in a bathroom - the kids thought the house would smell like an outhouse because they'd never seen a toilet before. One story was about a new kid who only spoke in rhymes. I loooooooved these books, and I would love to find them again. I have no idea about the author or any of the titles (at that age, I never noticed such things as authors.). Please help!

Amanda (misterfive) | 203 comments This is probably The Great Brain series by John D. Fitzgerald. (I don't offhand remember the one about the kid speaking in rhyme, but it definitely has the bathroom story.) The first one is The Great Brain
