Ursula (heyurs) | 1065 comments Hey Folks!
I have had a bit of a look around, and I didn't see where anyone has said anything about James L. Rubart. Ohmygoodness, he is the reason why I am reading Christian Fiction today! He is awesome! Have you read any of his books? I'd like to share some links with you, so that you can have a look-see for yourself.  :)

ROOMS  (ohmygoshSOgood!)  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_Sonh...
BOOK OF DAYS  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5G_3u...

Then his trilogy, WELL SPRING NOVELS:
SOUL'S GATE  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZ9b9z...
MEMORY'S DOOR  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dStdRf...
SPIRIT BRIDGE  This just came out on the 6th. I can't find anything about it to share with you. However, I would highly suggest reading the books in order like I have them listed. These are some AMAZING books! I plan to start SPIRIT BRIDGE in the next day or so. I can't wait!

I hope you find this helpful, and I hope I did it right, and in the right place. Let me know, Werner, please, if I need to change this or take it down.

Werner | 1749 comments Urs, sorry to be slow in responding; I just discovered this thread! No, you don't need to change the post or take it down; this is exactly the kind of discussion thread this folder is for, and it's great to be introduced to new authors --I'd never heard of Rubart! (I did edit the title, just so people can tell at a glance what author the thread is about.)

No sorries! I know how it can be. I've had one of the busiest weeks this past week, this year! Goodness. I am pooped!

Never heard of Mr. Rubart, huh? Well, I will tell you, when I was in Lifeway Christian, and ran across the first book, I was instantly intrigued. It's a beautiful book. It makes you look at it. I picked it up, started reading it right there in the store and was hooked. I had never read a piece of CF ever. After getting into it, I was really surprised with myself--I had really been missing out! One of my girlies (another story to share) introduced me to CF. I farted around another year or so, and then finally started with ROOMS. You won't be sorry. I have several church brother and sisters devouring them. :)

Thanks for fixing up my post!
Urs

Werner | 1749 comments You're welcome, Urs! It turns out that I have heard of Rubart before, after all; two of my other friends have read and reviewed (and really liked!) Rooms, and I'd read and liked one of those reviews, but just didn't remember it. Just now, I added Rooms to my to-read shelf. (Of course, it joins a prohibitively long list that I'll already have to live to be well over 100 to get through; but it's on there!)

Ursula (heyurs) | 1065 comments Oh, good! Well, personally, I think you should put ROOMS up next. ;) I promise you won't regret it. :D

NO pressure to start a blog, m'dear. You just seem so real and wonderful, that it would be great to have you at my place. I totally understand--you ARE pretty consumed. *nods*

I added two of your books to my to-do list. *excited*

Werner | 1749 comments Thanks for the kind words, Urs, and thanks for your interest in my writing; I'll be eager to see how you like it! (Lifeblood is actually my only novel; "The Gift" and "Wolf Hunt" are just short stories, both of which are on sale for 99 cents apiece at Smashwords.) Lifeblood is in print (published by World Castle Publishing) but if you don't want to buy it, it is possible to get it by interlibrary loan, even though not very many libraries have it. :-)

Ursula (heyurs) | 1065 comments I've never heard of Smashwords. I do Amazon. I have LIFEBLOOD on my wish list there. I will look into that other place to see how they operate. Thanks!

Werner | 1749 comments Before I joined Goodreads, I'd never heard of Smashwords, either. Let me know what you think of it.
