For Labor 7C - book set in outer space"
I read
which I don't think fits anywhere based on what is left. I'll hold off claiming another task until the post is updated so as not to step on any toes.
I just updated my spreadsheet, which might not be 100% but is pretty close. These are the tasks I have listed as unclaimed -- 6D is a 'soft' claim by Lory, but it hasn't been mentioned in awhile, so if you have a topiary in your book that'd be great! Or, are any of those butterflies gold? Can't tell on the small picture....2e Read a book with a gold object on the cover
6d Read a book with a topiary in it.
9a Read a book where someone works at a non-profit.
9b Read a book with a party decoration on the cover.
9e Read a book with a medal or trophy on the cover.
10a Read a book where the main character is a werewolf.
10e Read a book with 3 parts in it.
12e Read an inspirational book.
Also, if it's none of these, Kazen might give up task 12A to you so you can be counted as finishing your 2 books for the event. Kazen's got 1 book done and 2 tasks claimed, so her 2 books would still be covered. :)

Thanks Ray - that is helpful. The butterflies are even hard to see on the real-life cover; some of the more intricate ones could be considered slightly gold (with other colors). Other than that, the closest this comes to the remaining tasks listed is the werewolf one - no MC's are werewolfes, but at one point in the story one character thinks the other may be one.
Was it at all inspirational to you? There's a note above "(note: it does not have to be religious. If the book inspires you to do something, say, or learn more about a topic, it can count)"Karin wrote: "Thanks Ray - that is helpful. Ideas for 10E - Read a book with 3 parts in it. These are books that other teams have used in the 10E spot. I didn't check all the teams, just the 5 with highest scores, as they were more likely to have that spot filled already.

I suppose you could say that the book inspires you to believe in happy endings. Not sure if that will work
My current book has a topiary in it and 3 parts. Can I claim one of those for sure? Whichever makes the most sense.
Had some time to do some searching and found 3 books that should work for the Non-profit - Labor 9A
The last one I am definitely going to read, even if I don't do it for this challenge. 8-)

Ok...since you have a lot in pipeline, I'll work on that one. I a am almost done with a long one...and have room for it.

Here's an excerpt...I think it's good...
...There was no official humane society in the area, so if an animal needed temporary shelter, she was it. This came mostly from her inability to bear seeing anything suffer and the fact that she got far too attached to every animal she met. The rescue part of the business was extremely nonprofit and depended on grants and donations, so Lilah—along with Cruz—worked hard to keep the kennels afloat.
If ok, put me down for 9A
I should finish both in about 3 days

I ended up putting this one in 1A just so we have it. The title and cover made me laugh - that's no snow fence! The real ones are nowhere near as romantic ;)

Great idea searching for animal rescue stuff! Hopefully we'll find a match soon :)

Any chance this can count as a medal (Labor 9E)?"
Good question! I'll bring this back for discussion and get back to you :)
eta: I just had a closer look... the task is called "win the games" so the medal or trophy is a prize. This is more of a badge than anything else so sadly I'm going to have to say no :(
Tammie wrote: "I don't think anyone is doing 9B...party decoration on cover.I have a couple of Virgin River books on my list...I use pumpkins in the fall and Christmas trees for party decorations...flowers work ..."
I am so sorry but neither of these work - it needs to be something that you can look at and say, "that's a party decoration". While these covers are lovely they are full of items that fall under "could be used as a party decoration". :( Maybe Harvest Moon could work for one of the bonus labors?

I think this is awesome - wonderful find! Here's hoping the story is good, too :) All yours!

Karin wrote: "Since I have only completed one book for the Labors I didn't think I could go to bonuses."You're right - we can't pop that book in for a bonus until you finish two labors.
"Also - what happens if the Labor tasks are done before I read a second book that fits one of the tasks?"
Then you can't claim any of the bonuses. :( But I have good news!
I recently moved one of my books around and can free up the 300-400 page book slot. Your read is 304 pages and fits perfectly, and would be your second labor book. Then you could read for bonuses going forward. Shall we do that? :)

Bold goals are unclaimed goals.
I'm removing finished goals - it's so fun to watch the number of tasks dwindle! Bwahaha. If you're not sure if you've finished two books have a look at the spreadsheet or ask :)

Phooey. This Labor is proving difficult for me to find ANY books for. I can't even find Lists that help! Just poking my head in. Haven't finished any books today, but I'm halfway through my vampire book and about 20% through my yellow book. They're both good, so I'll definitely finish, just has been a busy few days! Then I've got a werewolf book waiting in the wings if no one else wants one once I get done with the vampire thing.

Done. Sending to mods now.Yeah, I noticed that about rotating. Weird. When I did puzzles for Leprechaun event there was no rotating.
