Bonus Labors
If you have completed at least two books for the main labors you can work on bonus labors. They are a little less pointsy, though, so I'll put them under a spoiler.

Thank you for putting progress at the top...makes it so easy to find where we are! Trying to read the more difficult tasks is a good strategy...seems like everyone is working towards that..awesome team we have ;)

If you need to switch this one with 10C, that's fine...the precis doesn't really support my claim on the psychic...but Visions of Heat is also a psychic book (see claim below)...hmmmmm I'm wondering if this trend in reading should be telling me something!

Labor 1D ◈ Read a book where someone is under someone's spell
Labor 6C ◈ Read a book where someone is mentally unbalanced
Labor 9C ◈ Read a book that's 500-600 pages

I must read this series. I've heard nothing but rave reviews.

We have a lot more mentally unbalanced characters in our reading than I realized! O.o Claim whatever fits when you turn in your book :)

I went and had a look at my friend reviews and they're all over the place, lol. A lot of raves, but some people didn't like the writing or characterization. I'll be keeping my eye out for it in the used book stores, though!

Aha, it was you that took the discussion questions - thank you so much for that! (If you said it before I missed it, eep.) 8D is all yours :)

I'm glad you like the progress post! If I'm at work I may be a few posts late getting it up but the plan is to have it on each page.
And we do have the most awesome team ^^b

We haven't gotten anything about that out yet. Stay tuned. There should be something. If not, Emerge!

A Caribbean Mystery (Miss Marple #10)

I'm at work and can't enter this yet but I just wanted to say I love your graphic! How was the mystery?

Meh. Kinda boring really. Repetitive. :/ And the language was...interesting. I would've pegged it for earlier than 1964.
For my next book, I'm reading Cross Kill. It works for: 4B (Cross is Alex Cross), 4E, 5D, 6E. Also possibly 6B, 6C, 9D, 12D. I'm fine putting it on any task.

The Lady and the Unicorn by Tracy Chevalier
250 pages
For Labor 3E (read a book with a Title in the title)
Wonderful book! One of my new all time favorites (of course I am a major historical fiction fan), I even read it in one day!
Now on to H is for Hawk for 1C - Bird on the cover.
Night all!

Finally into the sheet it goes, woo! Sorry that the mystery wasn't satisfying. :/
PS: Cross Kill sounds like a great way to fill whatever tasks we need - tell us where you'd like to put it when you do your completed post. :)

A 24 hour read is always a good sign as far as I'm concerned. Well done! I hope H is for Hawk is as good as I've heard :)

Squire
Squire by Tamora Pierce
400 pages
9/11
Works for: 1A, 2B, 12A, or 12D (mc breaks a rib)"
Oooo, lots of choices! I don't want the MC's suffering to be in vain so I went with 12D, hehe. Way to go!

For labor 2C. She gets in a lot of fights. There are a few times during these fights that she is attacked by her opponent. That should count correct? She doesn't get attacked unaware.
Let me know if that doesn't work and I will try to see if it fits in another slot.

pgs-580
Spot- I'm thinking the page requirement, because the others seem like they have a lot more overlap with our TBRs
9C- 500-600 pages

It will be a weight off of us to not have to worry about reading a long book unless we want to!

It's a really good series if you like long fantasy with lots of war/plotting.

I have a book on order that was originally written in French that I plan to read,

Awesome! *Drops The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo like a hot potato*

Highly Illogical Behavior by John Corey Whaley
256 pages
9/12
4A- House on cover if you look closely at the picture-window.
6C- Character is mentally unbalanced; MC is an agoraphobe.
7B- Someone has a nervous breakdown; Multiple anxiety attacks & a big mental breakdown at beginning of book resulting in agoraphobia.
Bonus Labor One- Large Vehicle on cover; if you look closely, there is a van.

Cross Kill by James Patterson
113pgs

It works for: 4B (Cross is Alex Cross), 4E, 5D, 6E, 6B, 6C, 9D.
6E and 9D seem like the hardest to me. Can we just make notes and hang onto this one for now? I've finished my mandated 2 books already. Holding it would allow more flexibility for the team. If you want to slot it in now, tell me where and I'll get a quote or info to back up my reasoning.
Next up: Helen and Troy's Epic Road Quest
Fits: 4B, 12A.
Does this cover "under a spell" (1D)?
"Full-blown minotaurism was rare in this day and age....The enchantment or curse or whatever you wanted to call it usually didn’t take with girls."

If it was still available when I finish my current book, I was planning to read The Snow Child which will work for 6E if you want to go for 9D or one of the others, but its not a big deal I have a list of books to read and the labors they fit, so I am just letting you know. 8-)

2B....maybe? I might have not asked the right question for this one. It's part of a quartet but not one of the main 4 books. It might not matter b/c one of two MCs is a musician! And that's a harder goal so maybe we should use this there?
Also it was good enough that I want to read book 1 so I could do that for 2B...
ETA: also there was fire. A funeral pyre and campfires.
