Red Pandas

Bethany, hello and welcome! I'm Kazen the captain that was latest getting to the thread, hehe. Rose and Margaret said everything I planned to say so... welcome! (Did I say that? I may have said that.)
You don't have to worry about posting all your previously read books in the thread here, no worries about that! Just put any book you started (and finished) after June 17th on your wobble shelf and we'll take care of the rest. Feel free to read whatever pleases you until Saturday-ish, when the Wheelathon starts, yea! All of your books will count towards Wheel so it'll give us a nice head start. :)
A note about editions - the captains use the editions you shelve (paperback vs hardback vs kindle, etc) to determine pages and things, so make note of that when you add a book. Here in the thread you don't have to make the edition match up exactly... I usually pick the first one that has the same cover, hehe. The shelf edition is the important one. :)
So feel free to settle in and get a feel for the place before Wheelathon starts up. We're so happy to have you! :D

for another challenge
can our chariot have fashionable men's ties?"
Or graffiti?? :D

Ummm... we're doing really well on books with low page numbers, so a couple of these will probably be reserved for Wheel. Just read on, my friend! The rest will sort itself out :)

Dang, really? That takes so much time to get right and it's unnecessary, haha. Well... I'll probably keep doing it anyway. A tad OCD over here.

Okay. Just trying to get all 10 of the chariot decorations filled up and swapping them around would help with that! Will Bethany's books be eligible for decorations? She's got some cool gears, wings, and police tape. Gotta balance out all the flowers (said the tomboy). ;)

Nice to have another new face on board. I joined the team a few weeks ago myself and can I just say this is the best team ever! I have had so much fun getting to know everyone and I love to log in and see 'new posts' from the team.
What kind of books do you like to read most? I am always looking for recommendations and I will say that my shelves have definitely grown since joining this team.
Happy Reading! 8-)

Overbite by Meg Cabot
275 pages
Date read: 20/7/16
Task: Page Jumping (if it fits) or Wheel-a-thon

Thanks! I should probably add a picture so I have more of a face.
Are you guys sure you don't want me to seek out another book with a specific number of pages? I'm a fast reader and can probably get through a 500+-page book in 2 days, and Wednesday is my "I have four hours during which I can do very little other than read or write" day, so...
I have been meaning to read "Graceling", which has 471 pages and a dagger on the cover, which could serve as a backup for the knife/dagger challenge or fill in E2 heat 4 451-500...
Or I would bet that I could find something intriguing with a dagger on the cover and a 551-600 page word count to backup either the dagger challenge or Tammie's E2 heat 3.
I just thought the Olympics challenges sounded so cool, and I'm sad I'm coming in at the very tail end of it!

Most of what I read has a fantasy element to it. I've been getting a lot of recommendations from friends lately though, which has led me to reading more sci-fi and YA and general fiction than I would normally be inclined to. Otherwise I would almost exclusively read fantasy.

Omg, I compared our books and you've read Uglies?? Hardly anybody I know has read it, it deserves so much more recognition than hunger games or John Green books tbh.

I loved that series!!! I like the other two, but have somewhat fonder memories of the Uglies.

Hey Bethany--I'm almost done with my book but the spreadsheet does show a spot available for the 451-500 range...Heat4

Hehe! That's awesome. :) I'm trying to get through Feed @599 pgs by Friday, for one of those last Page Jumping tasks. Not sure I can but it would be awesome if we finish all those!! Worth trying. :) go team!
As for support sprints, just pick any of the facets of a sprint and read for at least an hour. Post results here, with facet (drink, weather, etc) # pgs, & who you are supporting, and Kazen will a lot you into the spreadsheet. It's just for fun & team supporty-happiness. :D There's a big post about this but it's pages back & I'm on my iPod (read: browsing is hard).

I asked something about this way back before Wobble started & was told no. Alas. Kazen has been encouraging me to learn patience (grasshopper) but I want to know too! :D I like to plan.

Well... I guess I'll just have to hunt down a book in my house for each letter!

Cool beans! We have somewhat similar tastes. I grew up reading mostly fantasy but found Historical Fiction about 10 years ago and I really enjoy that. I also read general fiction and have found some good suspense books since joining Goodreads. YA books are usually good too if they are well written, but I will never give up my fantasy books! *grin
By the way I sent you a friend request. We have not read alot of the same books (yet) but may I recommend The Gateway Trilogy starting with Spirit Legacy

LOL I am of the planning mindset as well. Ah but patience is a virtue..... I guess.....

Added!

Awesome! And I added one from your list as well!
Thanks-

Last time I looked A kiss of deception was not listed as completed. I finished a couple of days ago.
I'm finishing up The stolen One which is 420 pages but works for decoration. i have about 6 or so hours of traveling tomorrow, so I can probably read another longer book for page jumping.Which range needs to be tackled? I'm on my phone so can't check :-(

I'm going to be finishing up a 450-500 tomorrow, beyond that it looks like the only things left that people haven't said they are almost or fully done with is 500-550,550-600, and 600-650.

I'm also halfway through a 620 page novel and may finish, so maybe anything 500-600 pages?

Bah! I can't get the link to work (I hate HTML) but you can copy and paste. sorry

Yep it's here. There is the countdown to the start of Wheel-a-thon there too.

Jinx!! You owe me a soda!! LOL

Nice work Caly - you guys are reading machines!!

LOL - What kind of soda do you drink? Hehe

Caly, I just went to McKays! It was huge! but 3 books for 7 dollars isn't too bad.
I will look for books either 500-550 or 550 to 600. I won't start until tomorrow, so if someone else has one for those I can go the other way.

Overbite strikes me as a very strange name for a novel! I picture retainers and headgear :P
