Awesome, thanks Ray! Just looking into potential books. I know we get points for coaching which are pretty good. So thought I would give that a try, potentially. Just keeping options open so I can be as helpful as possible!

Currently reading:The Mayflower Project for PJ H2 L3 151-200 (170 pgs).
Also, It's Not Me, It's You: Subjective Recollections from a Terminally Optimistic, Chronically Sarcastic and Occasionally Inebriated Woman for Novel RPG. I think it'd be a good Chariot decoration -- the fringe on the lampshade.

Yeah, I am doing that too, but Kate and Karin still need to claim a spot for their Page Jumping books, so I am trying to look elsewhere too so they have options :-) The open bonus really opens things up though! It's very exciting getting a lot completed!
Caly wrote: "Finished Bronze for the distance event! Heading home to better internet so let me know what i can read next to help us finish the Olympics."
Way to go Caly! That was the perfect book for Distance.
As for what to read next, I'm thinking a Page Jumping book that has a Chariot decoration on the cover may be a good idea, as we could fit it in several different places. :) (eta: That advice is good for everyone who doesn't have a book to read next, too!)
Lory wrote: "Completion Post!A Study in SilksEvent 3 round 4. If Caly is done with her book, that is our first event finished!"
Yeaaaaaa for finishing an event, wooo! :D Put you down for 50 Ways, too.
Brianna wrote: "Finished
Cristal: Seeking the truth by Anne-Rae Vasquez
Task: Page Jumping"
Nice! That fit into PJ perfectly, slipping between all the other books that were already there to find its spot, hehe.
Lory wrote: "I am also willing to read whatever needs to be filled! I travel again next week, so I can take a longer book as well if needed as I usually have a lot of time to read. I travel by myself so I do a ..."A long book for Page Jumping bonus may work nicely, then. :) Books that would count for both PJ and a Chariot decoration are nice, too, because we could use them two ways.
Ella wrote: "hey , just stopping by to say that my book "come" works for MMA coaching. :)"~high five!~
Ray (user2637) wrote: "YAY, event finished, woooo hoooooo!!!!!!!! Go team!!"Ray, did you make this Red Panda graphic? It's adorable!!
Ray (user2637) wrote: "NICE! We should try to get some 501 - 700 page books for this, dontcha think?"Long books also work, yes, but they all have to be in order to count. No skipping spots. And we have some Travel Agent books that can fit in here. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. :)
Counting this one, we seem to have a measley DOZEN books left to until the event is √complete. YEEESSSSS!!
True, but again, let's not get too far ahead. A dozen books, but some are very specific books that need to be read by specific people. It is more than a mere numbers game. I love your enthusiasm but patience, grasshopper. ;)
Lory wrote: "Can Sprinters read for coaching other sprinters?"Yes, as long as they don't coach themselves. :)
Lory wrote: "Yeah, I am doing that too, but Kate and Karin still need to claim a spot for their Page Jumping books, so I am trying to look elsewhere too so they have options :-) The open bonus really opens thin..."Thanks to that bonus we can shuffle books around to either bonus or even chariot decorations if/when that opens up. So as long as they read a book we'll make it fit.
It's very exciting getting a lot completed!
It so is! ~bounces in her seat~
Hi everyone,Yeaaaa books being read! The spreadsheet is really coming together. I'm off to work at a semi-far away hospital this morning so I'll see you guys when I get back. And you know what commute time means - reading time! ...though it's split up between four trains so I can't do a sprint, but still. Reading time! :D
If we are aiming for the higher page numbers in PJ, I have The Unexpected Everything which I really want to read. Higher than that, I have only sci-fi/fantasy series, generally the last book. Winter, from what I remember is somewhere around 800 pages, and I can always reread it.

Okay I am back in the land of good internet (though the land of surf, sand and margaritas was good too) *Grin
But I am ready to start another book and found this one on my list.
It has those Violets on the cover so I would think that we could use that as a chariot decoration. And it has 432 pages so it would also fit in Heat 2 Leg 3 of Page Jumping. Whichever we need more.
Also I could not post this yesterday because the internet kept dropping out but while I was reading
I actually did a support Sprint! I did 2 hours under Blue Skies in the Afternoon while drinking Margaritas, I read 98 pages and would like to support Lory with this one.
By the way @Lory Have a great time in Knoxville and if you get hungry stop by Whole Foods Market for some fresh cut fruit! LOL
Lory wrote: "Will do! I was thinking we couldn't read chariot decoration books until the chariot was completed."They don't count until completed :)
eta: Found it!
▲ Books do NOT need to be read in order. Will receive points for all parts completed, even if it's not everything. Supplemental Book points will only count if main chariot (17 books) is completed.
I'm about ready to finish my last Relay book. I had selected
for my Chariot task (open landscape), but I'm wondering if this
would work instead (it's much shorter) or even
I also need to choose a book for Page Jumping - but when I look at the spreadsheet, I'm not sure what slots are open (that tab in the spreadsheet is blank). Can someone point me in the right direction?
Karin wrote: "I also need to choose a book for Page Jumping - but when I look at the spreadsheet, I'm not sure what slots are open (that tab in the spreadsheet is blank). Can someone point me in the right direction?"You have to look at the tab that says O-E2 Plan, not the actual one that says Olympic Games Page Jumping

I can take the Leg 2-3 slot (151-200 pages) and read By Flower and Dean Street which is 164 pages if that is okay
Kazen wrote: "Ray (user2637) wrote: "YAY, event finished, woooo hoooooo!!!!!!!! Go team!!"Ray, did you make this Red Panda graphic? It's adorable!!"
Nope, I found it on teh interwebs. :)
I'd like to read
116 pages and
316 pagesToward E2, event 3 bonus
I can do something else if you prefer
Almost done with MMA
Starting:Code of the Krillitanes @ 112 pgs.
The Unlikely Adventures of Mabel Jones @ 304 pgs. Probably for PJ but I think both will work for Chariot decor too.

I listed some possible alternates in an earlier post - just need verification that they work
Karin - I had a question in because they were borderline cases, but got the okay for both your open landscape books. Let us know which you'd like to switch to and I'll update the spreadsheet to match.

Sounds wonderful. I won't put you down for a spot because it can go either way but read on, read on!
I'm moving forward with reading the two books I posted yesterday. I have a book I need to read for my 'live bookclub'. I can read it anytime between now and end of August...It would fit the 401-450 page slot in PJ if need be. The Nightingale
I was thinking of this for chariot decoration. It has pears on it....that can be a decoration right?
Is it alright if I claim the 151-200 spot for Heat 2, Leg 3? Because of all the moving and cleaning, I'm just making sure it'll be something that I can realistically finish. Hope that's okay! And good going everyone! You're all awesome!

Page jumping - heat 2 leg 3
I'm not up to date with the spreadsheet (I Skyped mom, two hours went by in a flash...) but I want to answer a couple of burning questions:Kate - any spot you want for PJ is fine, we'll fit you in! You can read anything at all, down to the 100 page minimum.
Lory - pears totally work on a chariot! And if you get hungry while you fight there's sustenance right there for the taking. ;)
I'll respond to everyone else and tidy up the spreadsheet in the morning - 2 am here, and I'm not a night owl! Darn time zones and calling home. ;) Have a great Friday you guys!
I finished

Now I'm starting to read
For chariot decorations I'd like to read-
by Trish Morey- If it qualifies for the flower in the bride's hand. (I didn't see any rules for decorations so I'm not sure)

SUPPLEMENTAL BOOKS: Decorate your Chariot

Examples: Gems, Jewelry, banners, flags, flowers, lights, ect...... use your imagination!

One of my favorite series ever!

I love that this event abbreviates to PJ, it makes me feel very homey and flannel-y. :)

The great thing about PJ is that it's so flexible, and once chariot decorations open up we'll have even more leeway. :)
eta: And you finish one of the books before I can even reply! lol Way to rock it!
