Welcome to the team Karin! Finished
My Guardian by Alanea Alder
29th June
224 pages
Fantasy D7 (So my series is up-to-date and I think I've read one book for every Fantasy and paranormal squares that we had. Only a partner is required for it.)
Now that my series is over, I feel lost and homeless :-(
Kazen... My Healer and My Protector (on the reserves list) also goes with humor. But we didn't have humor as a genre when I read them so I didn't mention it then and I don't know if v can use it now for humor. (so just in case we can ^^ :) )

I'll finish The Winner's Kiss by tomorrow, that shoukd count for sci fi/fantasy. Not sure if I can do a classic, maybe I'll give Pride and Prejudice another go.

I'm sorry your series is over, that's always a disappointment. Here's hoping the author comes out with the next book soon. :)

Wonderful timing - sleep well, Ray!
We are one book away from the 20 we need to fill all the hit tasks! So close!Keep reading even if after we hit that number - each and every book will count for bonus points as long as it fits one of the genres we've been given, and these bonus points will help us move up in the rankings. Yea points!
Oh, and I've heard some rumors around the staff room... word is that the next challenge will have a lot of teamwork involved. It really makes you wonder what they're going to throw at us. In a good way, of course! :)
~shivers in antici...pation~
I totally lol'd at your last line! Was on several RHPS casts & played all the roles at least once. Good times. :)
Not sure if this will count for anything, but I'll add it just in caseCompletion Post

Yay, I'm hoping for something more interesting than battleship, here we pretty much read anything and fit it under a category, not much teamwork involved:) I still enjoyed this though!
Kazen wrote: "I'm sorry your series is over, that's always a disappointment. Here's hoping the author comes out with the next book soon. :) ":) Yup I'm hoping it'll come out in about 3 months... (too ambitious??) fingers crossed. I'll just catch up on my never ending to-read list in the mean time.
I hope the next challenge allows me to read my netgalley books since none of those books were tagged by 10 or more ppl to qualify for this challenge.
Also I finished

Ha. I have no idea where we will end up. It's hard to tell with the sinking ship points taken into account.

Books for bonus! I'm in the spreadsheet and we have all the primary hits filled :) I'll be updating the goal post when I'm done, but the short version is any hit square that you haven't read for yet :)
I entered our 20 books in the spreadsheet and we gained a whole slew of points, helping us leapfrog over four teams in the rankings! What makes this ultra amazing - we have read fewer books than anyone else but we're still beating a whole bunch of teams :D We've been hitting our stride the past week so I doubt that fewest books thing will last, though!I have to go to the dentist (booo!) but I'll put the rest of the books in bonus slots when I get back. Keep on reading on!

And thank you Kazen for your amazing job as our captain getting our books all sorted for the most points!! I can't access the spreadsheet here at work (it is blocked!!) but will check and see our standings when I get home.
I am almost finished with To Tame A Highland Warrior ~ it is such a beautiful story of love and courage and honor ~ I highly recommend it for those historical "Scottish" romance lovers out there, (and it has a touch of fantasy too). I don't want the story to end... but will finish it in time to count as a bonus for battleships.

Did the book make it to your Wobble shelf by any chance? It's not showing up on the spreadsheet. :/
Margaret wrote: "I can't access the spreadsheet here at work (it is blocked!!) but will check and see our standings when I get home."Blocking the spreadsheet is so mean! I can tell you the standings though - filling all the hits brought us from 22nd place up to 18th, and adding the bonus books has us up at 16th :)

We're only 14 points away from 11th! =]I started a new book yesterday and I think I can finish it by tomorrow night!
The Olympics Rules are up! It's definitely more defined. Looks like fun! Can't wait to start strategizing :)I am still going to try to finish up my book tonight, but not sure if I'll make it. Taking a reading breather before being more intense reading!
I can't find the Olympic rules!!! Where did you find them/do you have a link?I started Daughter of Smoke and Bones during a challenge last year but never finished! I wish I had, it's loved by all. (but so was beautiful stranger...and I've lost my faith in other's opinions after that book)
I found them on the All Land Teams Chatter. It popped up in my Notifications...I assume it's alright that I read them, its the very last post.https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Halfway through The Call of the Wild. Only 2 more points. 28 hours to go on Battleship!Off to read Olympic rules. :)
