CARD 2

After hard day hunt, you enter into the Tavern looking forward to some cool ale and maybe some nice stew you know that's simmering in the back. After all it was you who brought rat meat for it. You're sitting at your table, drinking ale and thinking about quests that are waiting for you tomorrow, when you hear sniffle behind you. You turn around trying to find where the sound came from, but only Lady Kelly is sitting in that direction. You're little scared to approach her, after all she's the Master here, but your kind heart can't say no to damsel in distress. As you start approaching Kelly, you hear her muttering "They are gone. They are all gone. What am I supposed to do now?!" and she starts crying again. You sit beside her, offer her your not so clean handkerchief and ask her what's wrong. Through tears you find out that someone broke into her room and stole all her future quests.
"All future quests?! But how's that possible? There are no thieves in Novel Kingdom! I'll help you Lady Kelly. Don't worry, you'll have your quests back!?" you yell and storm out of Tavern to find a thief.

Tasks:
•Read a book where someone steals something
•Read a book where someone steals something
•Read a book where someone finds something
•Read a book where someone finds something

Rewards:

Nikki the Sapphired Book Dragon AKA NixieNut (sapphireddragon) | 1397 comments Finished The Secret Life of a Dream Girl and starting on Demonic Triangle

characters in secret life are: Dahlia Greene (who is also popstar Cherry), Keegan Matthews, Himesh, Jacin, Finn McCain,

There is also a teacher Oliver and its a sweet romance so would work for cards 1,3,4 and if you wanted to be really cheesy you could say it also works for card two as Keegan Matthews steals Dahlia Green's heart :-P

CARD 3
You pass group of young squires sitting and talking. You can't not notice they are retelling Lady Shanna's Blueberry Adventure. You smile to yourself. It is great story, but like in many stories some things got changed with each retelling. And not to mention not many people know what happened after. Lady Shanna went to the field again day after and she picked some blueberries for herself, but nobody told her that those berries shouldn't be eaten fresh. She started eating them while picking. "Spit them out!" said the white horse. "But they are so tasty." "Spit them out!" All of the sudden, Lady Shanna's nose started turning purple. "What is happening to me?" yells Lady Shanna while continuing turning purple and starting to grow round. "I told you to spit them out. Everyone who eats them fresh ends up as blueberry and nobody knows why."

- Read a book where someone dangles a reward to get someone else to do something.
- Read a book where someone takes or gives a bribe or where the main character is a thief.

CARD 2
The local fool is wandering around town speaking in riddles... or at least you think they're riddles. He keeps talking about wanting a cup of joe but you can't figure out how Joe (the 300 pound farmer down the road) could fit in a cup. Then he told you to eighty-six the moldy bread and you told him who would want eighty six pieces of moldy bread... Then he started talking about having a field day with the new rat stew recipe in the tavern but he wasn't even in the field that day. You really must help him regain his sanity so he doesn't keep spouting off gibberish.

I really liked it. I've heard from some friends that have read it that they found it predictable and "juvenile". Well, the juvenile part I get, I mean, it's written for about 10-14 year olds. Plus, it's a nice break from the more "adult", intense stuff I read so much (and love, don't get me wrong). How Riordan thinks up all these details and incorporates classic mythology makes my head spin. Predictable? Kinda. But again, what I enjoy the most is the creativity and imagination and seeing where Riordan takes the story and how he gets there. I was a little disappointed that I hadn't read all the Percy Jackson books first, but I expected that when I first picked up the book.

Kimberly (poweki) | 1713 comments I am currently reading I Am Malala: The Story of the Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban

I will finish it before the end of Emerge.

It can be used for an Idiom goal.
Just in the last minute, there were two:

I read my books like Anna Karenina and the novels of Jane Austen and trusted in my father's words: 'Malala is free as a bird.' and

My father used to say, 'I will protect your freedom, Malala. Carry on with your dreams. '

Are the words listed for Card 3 words we are to find in the text of books? If so I'll watch for those as well. For example "FABRIC":

Wearing a burqa is like walking inside big fabric shuttlecock with only a grille to see through and on hot days it's like an oven.

GOLD: Lots of women were so moved by what Fazlullah said that they gave him gold and money, particularly in poor villages or households where the husbands were working abroad.

How will this book be most useful?
