You can check out WOBBLE spreadsheet for open tasks and post here what task you want to read for. :) Mod acct automatically posts here when new bonus tasks are out.

◈ Stop the Book Burning - Read a book where something catches on fire.
◈ Hide your Stash - Read a book that has at least 5 different covers.
◈ Learn to Read - Read a book under 150 pages.

Yeh I was surprised that I could rate a Anne McCaffrey that low. I had never read this one before. It was so badly written I hated it. I read it on audio and that really shows up a lot you don't notice if you read in paper form or it does for me at least. Had I not been reading for a Quest I would have DNF it. At one stage if she said "or something like that" one more time i was going to jump on my phone, but she swapped to something similar lol For me it was just lazy writing she could not take the time to explain anything properly.

Yes, a few, especially Playing with Fire by Tess Gerritsen . The Marvelous Land of Oz (Oz, #2) by L. Frank Baum would work for having at least 5 different covers.

I remember my first foray into audiobooks... I tried Anna and the French Kiss. I immediately fell into hate with the book and found the MC sooo annoying and shallow. I swore off audiobooks as a result lol. Then a friend insisted I listen to The Thief and then I fell in love. I realized some narrators can make a book sound better than it really is while some just reiterate how bad it is. But Megan Whalen Turner's series is all kinds of awesome. Highly recommended!!!!

That last task was a close call for you. King Eurystheus is pleased that his scheme almost worked. Now he has another task for you, and by all accounts this one will be the most difficult so far! You are tasked to capture the fearsome Erymanthian Boar and bring it back to Eurystheus alive.

◈ Travel to the mountain: Read a giant book (600+ pages)
◈ Find the boar: Read a book with a large animal on the cover, or a book with giant ratings (over 50,000 ratings)
◈ Drive the the Erymanthian Boar into the snow: Read a book set in winter or with snow on the cover
◈ Bring the boar back to Eurystheus: Read a book in which the main character is scared or afraid

I don't think any would qualify as horror...at least, I wouldn't classify them as horror. The few that could possibly be are not tagged as such on the main GR page, but I didn't check all the shelves.

However we do need two other horror books read so feel free to start something from the genre :)
