I'll read Prince of Fools (501-550 pgs, Event 2, Bonus), The Emperor's Soul (151-250 pgs, Event 2, Bonus), and Pivot and Slip (Coach).I'm currently reading No Apologies (still x.x), but I'll be done soon, so you can put that somewhere if it fits.
I'll probably have room for one more book before Olympics ends.

I tried to read S. Kathleen but just couldn't get into it! I love the idea but such a difficult read :/
Heya - I'm reading The Book Thief for the 551-600 pg bonus page-jumping round Has anyone read this? I'm only a short way in but not sure if I like it so far!
Rebecca, I have read it and I can't say I liked it. All concept how the story was told was weird for me.
I can't remember the story that well but I know that I really liked it!
I liked it. The movie isn't too bad either. I loved the ending and liked most of the secondary characters a lot, but the beginning didn't necessarily pull me in and for a section (around the part where they talk about Hitler and words) it felt like I should care... but I didn't really.
Ive read the book thief Rebecca I really liked it. Books way better than the movie. Finished Take The Long Way Home
I'm listening to it as an audiobook + reading it as well.... And the style it's told in is really quite bizarre. In the audiobook, the narrator uses a weird echo/reverb thing when reading bold text. It's a bit hard to follow!

Could you put me down for 100-150 pages for the book The Harvest Young: Bound by Fate? I only just found out it's been published (I read the original series) and it's really short so I want to read it right away. I already got a copy.Also, I'm at 65% of Prince of Fools and it's so good. For all the fantasy lovers in the group, seriously check out Mark Lawrence. In my opinion, he's freaking amazing <3

Me too I own a copy, its always a good sign when GR rating is above 4 for an adult fantasy novel.
Have we done the mini challenge suggest an event/new feature? Not sure where to look to see, so sorry if this has already been done. But there could be a poll for one/two books of the month. NBRC suggests 10 books and its the readers who choose by voting. Most votes wins.
UPDATE: We're just waiting on Kathleen, Ange and Elspeth to finish their required Event 5 reads then we can unlock bonus rounds soon. For the meantime, we can work on drafting a page title relay for the bonus rounds minimum of 10 books. Suggestions? Drafts?
PS: I'll be finished with my book before the day ends :D

I have Prince of Fools in my maybe to read shelf. After reading quite a few reviews of his first trilogy, I'm not sure this author is for me.
I've got about 4hours left in my event 5 book will try and finish by Thursday.Kat my suggestion was in previous post :)
Might be able to finish another shortish book before end of event. That came round fast!
We have monthly BOM polls :) one of the current BOMs is Sara Gruen's At The Water's Edge (if you were interested)
Oh so hard to suggest something as NBRC has everything already!
Maybe they could have a big set of polls at the end of the year for NBRC's best book of the year. They could take from BOMs and maybe there can be a section, or a new BOM poll, for books published in the year.

In the end I liked it better than expected so I will probably be buddy reading book 2 next month over at the challenge factory if anyone wants to join me. I have marked it on good reads as 4 stars but really it is 3.5-3.75 at most. I will be posting an actual review of it on the blog and here later today
I should be finished goddess of legend by tonight and will probably start the wrath and the dawn next as it a dusty book challenge read for July. I am picking up Nevernight at the Jay Kristoff book signing on Thursday night which could be used with the never members not used the original rounds for the 10 book relay but I would only only have about 36 hours to read it so it could be a close call

I sure have Noa. I loved her The Black Magician Trilogy and enjoyed the age of 5 series and The Rogue was the first book I ever reviewed for my blog - I gave it a 4 star rating ;-)
And I have been eyeing off this new series for a while so I can't wait to get stuck into it tonight :-)
Yay! Another Canavan fan ^.^ I had a copy of the Magician's Guild for a year before I got the other two books and I read it like three times. I also have the Age of 5 series (good, but not as good) and the Traitor Spy Trilogy (though I've only read book 1). I suddenly really want to go read something of hers.
How are you feeling Nikk?
I still haven't read book 3 of the traitor spy trilogy though i am pretty sure i own it...I think...My favourite series is still the black magician series though i loved that there was a another trilogy in that world
feeling a little better. Still coughing like there's no tomorrow which is really really annoying and have very little voice.The doctor says it just a virus so all i can do is rest and have lots of fluids but that does mean i have a whole day at home tomorrow to read! When I am not coughing that is.
My mum is looking after my daughter for the night so it's much quieter and restful and I can sleep in in the mornign which will be great :-)

I tried the 1st book in the Black Magician series but didn't quite like it. It was ok.
