Yeah. I read about 8 pages from Ranger's before the time ended and realized I should've used the series. Karishma said she's busy this week and of she's unavailable for the 6, I'll do it. I'll find a large print edition hahaha! A large print Nora Roberts novel.

Dresden Files is my first series in the Urban/Epic Fantasy genre. I started it with lot of trepidation but found that I could enjoy them. This series definitely removed my mental block towards the genre.

I'm snowed in today so I'm working from home - which means I can sneak on here a little bit. :)

I'm really enjoying The Nightingale. It's my first book by Kristin Hannah.

Had I known it was about Nazi Germany, I might have stayed away from it - but so far, it's not too gruesome.

When I saw Life is Beautiful, I cried for days and days. I still cannot shake some of that awful imagery. I vowed to stay away from holocaust fiction.

I own Landline but I haven't read it yet. I always buy books I think I'll love...but then I never read them because I prioritise the library books!! So annoying. Almost wish someone would chop my card up.

This convo was a while ago, but were we talking about Angelfall? If yes (if no, ignore me and my memory), then I did like it. i thought it was unique compared to a lot of YA Dystopians (especially anything with angels). What happened with the kids didn't really bother me, but if it did you, DEFINITELY don't read book 2. It doesn't necessarily get worse, but it doesn't get better. I didn't really connect to the characters, but like I said, I liked it anyways. I'd like to read book 3 at some point.
