kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 2329 comments I haven't seen any of the Alice movies. But I adore Julianne Moore too. I think she's a great actress.

Elspeth | 101 comments Forgive me if this is in the rule, but do books in other languages count?

kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 2329 comments Generally, yes but what challenge do you want to you it for?

kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 2329 comments Are you going with The Time Machine in Heat 1 Event 2 Elspeth? :)

Gillian Murrell | 497 comments Kathleen wrote: "Gillian wrote: "can i read Chase the Dark (Steel & Stone, #1) by Annette Marie 302 pages for Arm on Cover ?"

Am afraid not Gillian. At least 3 fingers need to be visible :)"

I can see 4 fingers and part of the thumb but they are ruled around the sword so guess they have to be full fingers?

Ange (bentleyrise) | 484 comments Morning everyone Ive been m such a slow reader this week, gonna sneak off to a coffee place at lunchtime for some reading. If I stay in the office I get interrupted and never work my full hour. You are all killing it *bows down in awe* :)

Havent seen the Still Alice movie either. Havent been watching too many movies lately, but its school hols next week and will take the kids to see something. Sigh wish it was my holidays.

Kimberly (poweki) | 1713 comments @Kat. DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE by HOLLY MADISON.

I loved the movie. Can't wait to hear what you think of the book :)

@Ange, I like your plan. Coffee or tea in a cafe, with a book in your lap, are the best breaks ever. Hope your kids have a good holiday.

Hi Karishma - can you please add the started and finished dates so it loads into the spreadsheet? As the title is 12 letters it's best if we use this book for Event 5 - Build a Chariot Title is exactly 12 letters/numbers

Skandia (sfgirl) | 1724 comments Ash, Kat - what do you need to be read next? I don't have anything specific I need to read next so I'm quite flexible now

message 1267: by Skandia (last edited Jul 05, 2016 11:15PM) (new)

Skandia (sfgirl) | 1724 comments Would this count for arm on the cover Becoming Marie Antoinette (Marie Antoinette, #1) by Juliet Grey
I can see fingers but maybe it needs to be approved.

Also the tricky task is for Event 5 - number 12 on cover. Size 12 Is Not Fat (Heather Wells, #1) by Meg Cabot is pretty popular book but I need something else to read now between chick-lit and romance :) If no other takers, I can tackle this later.

message 1268: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 1439 comments Thanks Angeline - I'll put down Lord Bachelor for Event 5 Build a Chariot Title is exactly 12 letters/numbers as you need to complete a book for this Event. We can then use one of the others for Event 2 :)

message 1269: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 1439 comments Skandia - can you pick a book that works for a task in Event 2 and Event 5?

Yes that works for the arm goal. I might put you down for the size 12 book then unless there is anything else you want for Event 5? You don't have to read it now! Still have over two weeks left.

I thought that this wouldnt work as we couldnt use Never as the first book in the relay, I think Kat mentioned that.

Any other ideas how we can sort out heat 2 of leg 1?

▲ Creatures must be of a size that can PULL a Chariot

:) I don't think monkeys can? If it's as big as King Kong maybe? We can use it for page jumping if youre reading it.

The books proposed for Animal: Chariot can be used.

I'm not sure about the coach book. The MC is not the fighter... let's ask Ashley and Nikk.

Thanks, Kathleen. Are the number of words in the books (for animals) are enough to fit the rules? I did not know how to find that out.
