I don't have anything that ends with still, not even on my computer. Sorry.

Skandia (sfgirl) | 1724 comments I have a question about the arm on cover - does it have to be a bare arm or can it be clothed?
Would this book even work for arm task? Shifting Dreams (Cambio Springs, #1) by Elizabeth Hunter

It can be clothed.

Just need visible full arm and at least 3 fingers seen. This can work.

Kimberly (poweki) | 1713 comments Does the Basilisk spreadsheet automatically update?

My last book (Never Never) isn't showing up on it.

Nikki the Sapphired Book Dragon AKA NixieNut (sapphireddragon) | 1397 comments It is now Kimberley :-)

message 1157: by Viji (new)

Viji | 389 comments I have Hold Still by Tim Adler. If nobody else is reading a book that ends with still, I can read it. But the spreadsheet shows that someone is reading that. That's why I am hesitating. On getting the nod from Ashley, I will read that. Thanks.

message 1158: by Viji (new)

Viji | 389 comments Will Asenath by Anna Patricio work for the full arm task? I think we have to read 4 books for the arm tasks. Am I correct?

message 1159: by Viji (new)

Viji | 389 comments A few more books for Arm task (available free in Kindle Unlimited):

Murdering the Roses by Cindy Bell

Cosmetics, a Cruise and a Killer by Cindy Bell

Pageant and Poison by Cindy Bell

Books, Bullets and Blooms by Cindy Bell (GR shows it is 76 pages but amazon.in page shows it is 143 pages!)

Mice, Marriage and Murder (Wendy the Wedding Planner Cozy Mystery Book 4) by Cindy Bell

Buttered and Scrambled With Murder (A Josie Rizzo Cozy Mystery Book 4) by J R Pearson

For Stone in Title:

Sweet Fire and Stone (A Sweet Cove Cozy Mystery #7) by J.A. Whiting

Ashley, could you please let me know the books I could read? Thanks.

Nikki the Sapphired Book Dragon AKA NixieNut (sapphireddragon) | 1397 comments I also have Blood Games(Chicagoland Vampires #10) by Chloe Neill which would be perfect for arms or for dagger :-)

message 1163: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (poweki) | 1713 comments I've just read the instructions for sprinting in Fight Club and I won't be allowed to do it since all my books are audiobooks. :(

Sorry team.

message 1164: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (poweki) | 1713 comments I read a graphic novel while I was at the library on Saturday. Will it count for Wheelathon? Or no?

message 1165: by ~~~N~~~ (new)

~~~N~~~ (chocolate-cannibal-bunnies) | 616 comments Read: Like a Lover by Jay Northcote
Date: 4/7/16
Pages: 202
Fits: Wheelathon
Currently Reading: Carry On (which, btw, will take me a while to finish).
I want to read The Scarlet Pimpernel, but I don't see any secondary task it fits.
P.S. This might be good for Fight Club
https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/3...
I'd be happy to read some Coach books from that after Superhero. And I've read like 7 or 8 of the books on there and the only one I'd suggest is Real, if anyone is interested.
Thats fine with me Ashley
Skandia (sfgirl) | 1724 comments I think for the arm task you need to see the fingers too , Viji
kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 2329 comments Still at work and just popping in real quick *sneaky sneaky me*
Clarification of some "Create a Chariot" rules
The idea behind "Create a Chariot" is that you Create a Chariot
This means that:
▲ Creatures must be of a size that can PULL a Chariot
▲ Tools must be tools that you can BUILD a Chariot
▲ Wheels must be "a circular object that revolves on an axle and is fixed below a vehicle or other object to enable it to move easily over the ground" and of a size that can SUPPORT the Chariot/Driver
(wheels off a car, bike, wagon.... are ok; a ferris wheel or roulette wheel are not)
When in doubt, ask yourself if you can USE the item to actually CREATE this Chariot. If you have to question it, the answer is no!
kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 2329 comments Viji wrote: "Will Asenath by Anna Patricio work for the full arm task? I think we have to read 4 books for the arm tasks. Am I correct?"
Rules say at least 3 fingers must be seen. So am afraid this one can't be used.
Skandia (sfgirl) | 1724 comments Finished Wedding Night by Sophie Kinsella
kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 2329 comments @Skandia: Do you want to read for any of Ashley's empty spot? Water for Elephants or Closed for the Season if youve got copies?
Sorry Ash giving them away now lol.
Skandia (sfgirl) | 1724 comments Kat, I have read Water for Elephants and it's very good if anyone wants to have a go, I'll pass the re-read.
Is the other connecting word Season? (I can't accsess spreadsheet now)
Skandia - It's "Closed" on one end and "Season" on the other.
Don't have this book, sry Kat!
Do we have to wait now for relay's first leg to be done before reading any other OG books?
Aaaghh, so basically everything I was thinking was incorrect.
kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 2329 comments Yes Skandia. We have to finish Heat 1 to unlock all other events. Any books we start now cannot be used for Olympics.
We can start planning our next reads though. Hopefully we unlock all events tonight. :)
Yes, it does. I was looking for an MM romance featuring fighters list, but sadly that doesn't exist. If you search for MMA/Boxing/Wrestling, though, I did see some lists with nonfiction.
No problem Noa.
Completion of Heat 2 will help towards unlocking BONUS rounds. And also gives us more points of course. What we're trying to accomplish at the moment is finish Heat 1 because it unlocks all other event... then we can start working on events 2-5 at the same time.
I enjoyed Water for Elephants too!!! Lush setting. Weird love story but superb story telling. So it was such a let down I didn't enjoy At the Water's Edge.
I don't think it get's in the way of unlocking other challenges as it is leg 2 book Noa.
message 1184: by Skandia (new)
Skandia (sfgirl) | 1724 comments If I have to, I could read one book for the Fight Club coach books. I have couple of freebies that are on the list Noa gave.
Just that this is absolutely my least favorite NA genre.
I hate books like Beautiful Disaster with passion :P
I don't like boxing or wrestling or any other fighting sports in real life too, so I've been avoiding fighter books.
Thank you, Kathleen. I have a few more books (HF) which I want to read which may qualify for the Arm Task. I check in the team thread after I complete Hold Still.
message 1187: by Ange (new)
Ange (bentleyrise) | 484 comments Hey guys, Im going to focus on the two books Im reading for heat 2 at this stage, they both will take me a while as Ive got a lot on this week with organising work and my daughters birthday, will try and aim to get them both finished before then end of this weekend then will have a look at the next events.
I was just having a look at the spreadsheet and I thought the rules were that everyone in the team has to read a book in either heat 1 or 2, Both Rebecca and Angeline arent down for any books?
message 1188: by Ashley (new)
Ashley | 1439 comments Good spotting Ange. That's why I have the three books on the side which will have to be in heat 2 :)
Thanks, Nikk, for this info. I was wondering whether I could start reading for other events. Was under the impression that both Heats 1 and 2 are to be completed before we could proceed to other events.
kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 2329 comments Karishma wrote: "Completed both.
Can you please put page count Karishma? We can use it for page jumping or in Book into Distance.
Awesome. We'll just wait for someone to start sprinting.
▲ Coach(es) do not have to read at the same time and are SUPPLEMENTAL BOOKS, not required for round. However, coaches books only count after a completed round.
