Book: Darkness Falls by Cate Tiernan

Pages: 400
Task it fits:
B5, B7, B9, C1, D7, F10, G2, G5, G7

Ash, where do we stand on books that need 1 more reader for us to claim points: A9, B2, F6?"
Just J-10 - read a book where title has 4 words (all words count)

I got my paperwhite 2 years ago and it's one of the best buys I've ever had!

I listened to the audiobook. The most popular edition is: Hardcover: 336 pages

Goals: D-3, F-5, B-9, F-6, C-1, D-7, F-7, A-3, D-1, D-10, C-10, B-1

Please don't forget to add the book to your wobble shelf :)
Timers for end of battleship and start of Olympics can be found on page 1 msge 5.

And I'm sorry to repeat but could you check my post about an impartial witness again.
I checked the spreadsheet again , its not marked up for any task though it fits A9"
I think Ashley marked it open so she can move things around for tomorrow to see which books fit for tasks that can give us better points.
It's Looking for Alaska by John Green and At the Water's Edge by Sara Gruen. I have no intention of joining, just want to hear maybe a different perspective on At the Water's Edge. I enjoyed Water for Elephants but I dragged myself through At the Water's Edge.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts Skandia! Oh, and you can start arranging your TBR now. Rules for Olympics is up. Link is above.

Olympics rules allow 1 reader to read all books for event heat 1 and 2 as long as other members are also reading for Olympics.

▲ Books do NOT need to be read in order, but you only get points for books in order.
For example, If you are trying to read a 5 book relay of: Another Day / Day After Night / Night Heat / Heat it Up / Up Up Up and you do not read "Night Heat" by the end of the Olympics round (July 21st) then your team will only receive 10 points for the first 2 books read, and no points for reading Heat it Up or Up Up Up, and nothing for the 7 book relay.

So the first title chain must be completed before moving on to any other event? Darn, this is one complicated challenge :))

I made a sample list. Haha peruse with caution.
Or maybe we set up a spreadsheet for Olympics too where everybody has access? Will it make it easier for book suggestions?

Can we use plurals also or does the word have to be exact match?

Pfft yes 15! I blame lack of sleep and the lateness of the night lol. I just added legs 1 and 2 of heat 1. It's almost midnight here and I should be in bed already. I missed browsing Goodreads on my laptop so...

Can we use plurals also or does the word have to be exact match?"
That and some other generic words. Hey if we're having a hard time we could always take a peek in other teams' relay lol! Ooops cheating?

I'm already sleepy so I didn't continue drafting a 'sample list'. You gals go ahead and add more books and stuff.
Bed calls! I think I'm going to read Rebel of the Sands as my last book for Battleship.

Can be used for A3 romance which only has one other person read for - 10 people shelved as romance - alternatively science fiction or young adult
Off to read all your comments and Olympics rules yay

yeah definately

I believe it will be helpful if we all can do that , because this event is going to need planning.
The Waiting Room - 304 ..."
Make sure you look over the requirements the arm. They're fairly strict.
"For ARM: A full arm MUST be visible. You MUST be able to see full hand (no hands in pocket or tucked under a shirt) and most of the fingers (more than 3) need to be visible."
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
There's some examples in there too.

I think that's what I should focus on? The relay seems too tricky to me.
Will that be ok?

I didn't look through them super closely, but there were supposed to be 3 full fingers so some might require very close looks with the folds of the dress.
I'm checking on clothing, we'll get the rules updated either way with regards to that.

I'll finish NYPD Red 2 before the deadline and will add it's details when I'm home tonight. I'm pretty sure it can be used for mystery, if nothing else.

Couldn't use for the four word title as you've already read for the first task. Fits perfectly for B-1 - read a book shelved as mystery by at least 10 people :)
