Nothing like points to uhm give proper encouragement! lol. I was halfway finished and I thought what a waste of points time so I dragged myself through it. Well at least we can use Soundless for the hit tasks. Man, it was pure torturechore reading this book.

Fits Tasks : B9, D3, E10, G2, G5, C1, D7 - these last 2 are kinda funny as 32 people shelved this as a young-adult but it really isn't :-P

Noa, here are tasks you can still read for. How many books did you pledge for Goodreads challenge this year? lol Bet you'll hit it by the time we finish WOBBLE.

C-1 - read a book shelved as young adult by at least 10 people
D-3 - read a book shelved as mystery by at least 10 people

E-10 - read a book shelved as humor by at least 10 people

Young Adult?! Maybe these 32 readers were young adults.

Did you like it well enough to continue the series?
Have you read FEVER? There was this website who made a poll about men of PNR. It was Barrons vs Reyes for finals.

I know! I was checking shelves for the other tasks and saw that couldn't help but laugh

I did enjoy the series actually and keen to read more but I am kinda annoyed that my library has book 1 no books 2 or 3 but does have 4 through 9 which is more than a little irritating.

I haven't read fever but I can see why Reyes might make the finals :-)

I'm starting Burying Water, which has been shelves as YA 23 times and I can do it for C1. I also want to claim a book for E7 because I enjoy sci-fi and have a couple books in mind already.

And you're right about my Goodreads challenge! I pledged 150 originally, but updated to 200 when I hit 150 before. Now I'm at 192, so I'll have to increase it again. I read 366 books last year, which barely covered my goal of 365 (I blame the amount of fanfiction and unpublished books I read), so I tried to keep it low this year. I kind of want to be competitive about it, but back in 2013 I somehow read 661 books, which is a record I'll never smash.

Let me know when you get book 2 maybe we can buddy read it! I don't know, I think Barrons still wins for most i-dont-even-know-how-to-describe-him-maybe-worst-but-good-manhandling everrr? If that even makes sense.

We've got a task to (E-8) read a book that is book 6, 7, 8 or 9 in a series and I'm thinking of reading a Kate Daniels. But we need 2 readers for the task so not yet committing. Are you following the series?

661? Wow. Great year for books! I joined GR 2 years ago but wasnt active. Just used it to organize my books, then I discovered NBRC and TT3 and now I live for nothing but reading challenges! (See what I did there? lol)

I barely finished my GR pledge last year. Measly 120 books so I decreased it to 100 this year. But with WOBBLE, I think I'm going to hit 100 before December!

Nikki the Sapphired Book Dragon AKA NixieNut (sapphireddragon) | 1397 comments I have only read book 1 of the kate daniels series and whilst I liked it I didn't feel the burning desire to read book 2 any time soon however I am up to book 9 in the chicago land vampire series so could definitely read that for that task

I was just starting wicked by jennifer armentrout for on of the ya task but could be swayed to read wild things instead :-)

I also need to catch up on Sharp objects. I think I am day behind now

kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 2329 comments I'm going to read Kate Daniels 8 too. I think the series picked up in book 2 and by then I was invested. Either of you following Anne Bishop's The Others?

I'm not keen on trying another Gillian Flynn book. Gone Girl was too depressing. But it doesnlt hole a candle to Pretty Girls. That was such a horrifying read for me I cant believe I finished it. Oh the things I did for challenges haha.

I checked next months BOM and not particularly keen on the selection lol.

I only just started reading challenges, but I get what you mean. I'm reading way more than I planned to this year! I had the same problem with reaching my 2015 challenge (maybe it just wasn't the year for books, lol?). I hope you hit your challenge early, and WOBBLE would definitely be the push to do so. P.S. 100 sounds like a very healthy, no stress goal (and kind of what I was aiming for this year, but I ended up reading more than expected).

Ange (bentleyrise) | 484 comments Book: Troll Mountain: The Complete Novel by Matthew Reilly
Date Read: 26/06/2016
Pages: 240
Fits Task: G2 Fantasy
How It Fits - 22 people marked as fantasy

kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 2329 comments 100 to me is a bit challenging especially with work and all. I enjoy watching too many TV shows that it was stealing some reading time so I decided to cut back. That's not to say I find myself binge watching sometimes. Or maybe my slow social life gave me more time for reading? Pffft what is social life anyway.

Anybody watched Me Before You already. I haven't read the book but I'm watching the movie mainly because it's Sam Claflin. Otherwise, I couldn't be bothered.

I usually don't watch any TV, but I've watched some the last two weeks (Mr. Robot, Hand of God, Vikings, and GoT) because I have free time. I probably won't watch Me Before You anytime soon.

I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed this!!

Haha thank you for your efforts! Way to do it for the team :)

kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 2329 comments I'm trying to avoid books with love interests dying in the end. I want happy ever afters! But I know the movie will be great, the trailer was beautiful. And Sam Claflin.

Oh are there new episodes of Mr Robot? I binge watched that one. It was actually a good series. And I feel like I'm the only one who hasn't seen a GoT episode.

kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 2329 comments I'm thinking Animal Farm is all gore and I don't know what gave me that idea. It's not?

Yeah, I took one for the team and all that fuss. No biggie, I read a bad YA so why not a memoir with a good advocacy... just meh writing.

message 627: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 1439 comments I enjoyed Me Before You. Another surprise! I don't like romances usually or books where you can predict the end...but it was just a nice read

kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 2329 comments Lot of friends recommending it, said it is a great read. But I'll just watch the movie and get my poor heart broken once.

I can use it for historical if you want to keep the YA ones free to fill?

Gillian Murrell | 497 comments Kathleen wrote: "That bad Gillian? In what way? Hah. Nixing it from my TBR then!"

The narrater was flat all the way through which did not help hardly anything happened and when it did it was skipped over so fast. I found it impossible to get into.

This will also work for classics if you'd like to keep the other options for your next read?

kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 2329 comments I'll read Eleanor & Park for H-2 - read a book where the audio version is narrated by more than one narrator (duet/full cast).

Gillian Murrell | 497 comments Book:Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder
Date Read: 26/06/2016
Pages: 409
Fits Task: G-6 - read a book where the author's first name is one of the top 100 female/male names in Ireland according to nameberry?
How It Fits: Maria was on the nameberry list for Ireland

message 649: by Gillian (new)

Gillian Murrell | 497 comments I'm currently 1/2 through reading Foal's Bread by Gillian Mears for F6
Have just started Going Bovine by Libba Bray E10
If no one is doing
B-2 - read a book which has the main location (setting) as Canada
I could read Anne of Green Gables (Anne of Green Gables, #1) by L.M. Montgomery let me know if that still needs to be covered as i would hate to see us miss out on the points for tasks that are only 1/2 done.

message 650: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 1439 comments That would be good back up Gillian - we can use Anne for classics if someone else fills the goal :)
