Oh. I'm doing a buddy read with someone right now, but I think I'm going to have to ask her if we can pick up the number of chapters we're supposed to do a day.

Great - I've used it for I-4 - read a book with an average goodreads rating of between 4 and 4.3

message 460: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 1439 comments I've finished Frozen and used it for J-1 - read a book with a title with 6 or less letters. Starting Forged for G-5 - read a book shelved as fantasy by at least 10 people

If Granny Smith Investigates (Granny Smith #1) could be used, pl. do so. I just added the book in our shelf.

Kimberly (poweki) | 1713 comments I FINISHED!!!

Sorry it took so long. 25 hours is a hefty audiobook to get through. I still have no internet so you'll have to put up with my phone tapped messages. Apologies for that too...

THE CARTEL
audiobook version - most popular version is hardcover: 616 pages

Use for the begins-with-'the' goal.

Phew!

What should I do now? Pick a book for a goal? If do, must I finish it before the 24th?

message 464: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (poweki) | 1713 comments The shortest book in my audiobook library is Fahrenheit 451. I'll start that one now. If I need to change course, I will.

message 465: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (poweki) | 1713 comments Actually, I'll start THE UNIDENTIFIED REDHEAD, written by Alice Clayton for the Irish names goal. Hope that's okay. :)

kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 2329 comments I bought the audiobook for Way of Kings and wow... there are 36 CDs. It's amazing.

message 467: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (poweki) | 1713 comments The REDHEAD book has a female narrator and is rated 4.(something) so it will go across a few goals. I'm off to start it right now! :)

Congrats!!! Did you emjoy it? I would hope so after all of those hours.

Books have to be completed by 1 July to count. I've put you down for F-5 - read a book where the audio version is narrated by a female for the Redhead book.

Rebecca (rebeccaemma) | 85 comments Title: The 5th Wave
Author: Rick Yancey
Date Read: 23/06/2016
Rating: ★★★★★
Pages: 457
How it fits: 1st book in a series

I really liked this one! I'm a fan of a good dystopian. I actually don't think I've ever read an "alien invasion" story line before, so was pretty cool to broaden my horizons, so to speak. Sometimes this genre can be a little too YA for my liking and I don't really identify anymore. This was totally bearable though.

message 480: by Ange (new)

Ange (bentleyrise) | 484 comments I also liked the 5th wave. I'm reading the second book now.

message 481: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (rebeccaemma) | 85 comments I want to read the next one now! You will have to tell me if it's worth my time, haha

message 482: by Ange (new)

Ange (bentleyrise) | 484 comments I think I liked the first book a lot more because of the mystery of it all. Now that we know a lot of the story it's not as engaging. Still it's readable and probably sitting at a 3 currently. Hoping it picks up soon.

message 483: by Rebecca (last edited Jun 23, 2016 01:49AM) (new)

Rebecca (rebeccaemma) | 85 comments I think sometimes with series it's best to read them back to back. Right now I'm emotionally invested in the characters. Within a few weeks that will dissipate though....

message 484: by Ange (new)

Ange (bentleyrise) | 484 comments True I read the 5th wave over a year ago, had to try and remember who everyone was. I did watch the movie not that long ago which helped with remembering.

message 485: by Ange (new)

Ange (bentleyrise) | 484 comments That's true I read the first book over a year ago but watching the movie not that long ago helped with the remembering. I have that problem constantly as have so many series to finish. I usually try and find a website that will give a rundown of the characters and plot before I read the next in a series if it's been a while. But there are some books like Mistborn I think it's just better if I start from the beginning again.
