But I see that you only have 2 books in your 'to-read' section. Please add atleast 10 books so that I can choose one among it for you to read.

message 230: by Akanksha (new)

Akanksha Chattopadhyay (akanksha_chattopadhyay) | 1126 comments It's a fast read--straight and easy, however, I thought it was a bit of a let down after all the 5-star ratings and reviews. The book seemed to drag at many places.
The coming of age theme was fine with all the anxieties of growing up while the past still haunts, but what struck me the most is that the book is actually a monologue of a decadent society that scarcely wants to look any further. And this was hard for me to digest.
All this, however, is completely subjective. There must have been things in the book that so many people found brilliant. :-)

If those with absentee partners, just post their partner's names here, I will try to send the message again. If they dont respond in 48 hours, we can assign them latecomers, or they can pair up with each other. Let us explore the possibilities.

Do wait for 48 hours. If he doesnot respond, Manju would be glad to pair you with someone else.

Hi Ritu

I choose
1.Lord of the Flies: This is a very famous piece of dystopian fiction. I have heard great things about it. People who read this tend to become changed people.

2. The Ocean at the End of the Lane: written by a master story teller. Need I say more.

One would do, but you may read both if you want to. There's time till July end.
