Time for nominations!!

If you haven't done this before, our rules can be found here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... If you have questions, please ask.

Our theme for June is Illustrated Novel. You may nominate 2 Young Adult books, one that is themed and one that is not. Please label your books as themed and non-themed. Nominations will run for about a week.

Don't forget to check the group's bookshelf for books we've already read. https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...

Please include authors' names when nominating. Authors may not nominate their own books!

Thanks!

Any one else care to nominate some books for June?

message 4: by Rora (new)

Rora (ffyreflyy) | 33 comments Has this group read Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld yet? (I can't check the bookshelf from my phone) It would make a good themed read (or whichever next in the series we haven't done.)

Rora (ffyreflyy) | 33 comments For a non-themed read, how about Dreams of Gods and Monsters by Laini Taylor?

Kdbrand How about these?

Themed: A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
Non-themed: These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman

Rora, we've read Leviathan: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/..., but you can nominate the next in the series, Behemoth.

Kdbrand, we've done A Monster Calls: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/.... Is there something else you'd like to nominate?

message 8: by Rora (new)

Rora (ffyreflyy) | 33 comments We'll go with Behemoth, then.

Me too! Though it's been a while since I read Leviathan. I hope I can remember enough of it to continue with the story.

I haven't read Leviathan yet! I want to badly, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I saw him speak about it at a conference--intriguing!

You'll definitely want to read Leviathan first. He creates enough of a new world that you wouldn't be able to just pick it up in the next book. Also, a lot of history happens!
