Peggy, go with it. I hope you don't need a magnifying glass!

Thanks about the classic claim for my book and I understand what you mean. Thanks for the clarification of the life threatening illness issue. I was pretty sure that this was what you intended. Without reading my book, I may not be able to apply for this task. I don't know how old he is either. I have plenty of other books to keep me occupied all week. I found two others to add to my list as I was looking to start another so I put them off too.
Remember everyone, if you're posting about your Toppler reads on other places besides Goodreads, make sure you use the hashtag #TBRToppler so we can find them!
There are other places besides Good Reads where I would post my toppler books? Not me.I know there is some place called Twitter, but I don't use it. I think it requires a smart phone and mine is the plain old dumb kind that doesn't get too pissy when I need to make a call.
Just tell me what the hash tag says. Ok?
Message #6 I have 4 up as read and am looking at the new ones that went up since I was in the first day. I badly want to do a David Bowie - my star man *ambles off thinking hard*
Sarah wrote: "Come check in Deborah - your teamies are waiting for you over in Not Fourgotten!"I can recall my first Toppler... I didn't checked in till I had finished my 2 books... I thought then that was the way to do it!!! LOL!
Deborah - please check our team thread - the Toppler hadn't started yet. it doesn't do so for another 2hrs 25min ish - we all start at the same time so unfortunately those books won't count.
Like Sarah says Deborah, the Toppler doesn't start until 4am NZ time. I'd go over to your team thread and have a chat over there. Hope you have some good reads this week, but just remember it's only book read in the next week.
Louise hasn't shown up for the Forget-Me-Nots team, so we have 2 less than other teams. If anyone joins late, could we have them?

Rusalka wrote: "I made it to start time!!! And off to sleep. Catch up in 8 hours or so ;)"It's afternoon in the UK - we'll be reading while you sleep - an international reading relay : )
I'm sad to report, another one died last day. Most of You won't recognise him, but he was a beloved comediant and part of one of the most popular TV shows in Latinamerica: Rubén Aguirre, who played Profesor Jirafales in "El Chavo del Ocho" and other characters as well.http://www.bbc.com/mundo/noticias/201...
Almeta and I are about to try our first drink of absinthe... slotted spoon and sugar cubes. The whole shebang!
I'm up! Catching up on posts then jumping in.Annerlee wrote: "It's afternoon in the UK - we'll be reading while you sleep - an international reading relay : )"
Indeed! It's fun to know that there are so many of us constantly reading around the world tagging in and out :D
I nearly bought a bottle of absinthe on Friday but decided against it. Let me know what you two think!

Debra wrote: "Almeta and I are about to try our first drink of absinthe... slotted spoon and sugar cubes. The whole shebang!"Oh, my, how daring! : ) You two will need flapper dresses if you keep this up.
You can get absinthe at a special bar in New Orleans, but that's the only place I've been exposed to it.
We used to have flapper dresses, back in the day when that style was all the rage again. I'm more into peasant dresses these days!
Fun and creative toppler. Very happy with the four books i read. Thanks Jaxnsmom! And Janice for cheering us on with fun posts that brightened my days all week! Awesome job team : )
Sorry I dropped of the GR grid for so long. Good days and bad days, and I just couldn't cope for a little while. I'm back now and in a good place. I'll get around to posting badges this weekend.
Thanks Jmom! Sorry to hear you've been a bit under the weather. Hope all is getting better on your end now :)
Here are the results:Team 3 - 76 books
Team 1 - 72 books
Team 2 - 58 books
Team 4 - 45 books
Unfortunately Team 4 had several members not show up, but I can't think of any way to compensate for that. There may be a special badge for them.
