The Cuckoo's Calling question

In the book, I gathered that John Bristow was in Mac Deeby's flat when Lula Landry was visiting Yvette Bristow. In that case, during the investigations, why didn't Yvette Bristow came up to say that John was lying and that he wasn't in her house when Lula Landry was visiting her?

Please help to clarify this doubt of mine because it has been bothering me ever since I finished it. Thanks
