I read these books in the late 80's early 90's. It's a trilogy set in London. I remember at least three MC's teenagers one girl and two boys one a poc. They time travel by a rope swing. I think in the last novel they all swing together and end up in the future.

They were three teens not brothers and sister. I think they just happened to meet up at this swing. As far as I can remember they don't stay in London I have a vague memory that one ends up in the Crimean war. I want to say they actually pop (quantum leap style) into the lives of their ancestors but I could be wrong.
They are really good and I would love to read them again. Hope someone can help :)
