The Bingo squares that are not yet claimed of those are:
desk
3 or more people

Are both of those pictures on the cover? If so, just pick either square and post it on here, so we know. :)

Nanci | 1864 comments Nicole, I know you chose the square for "two people", but if you like I just finished An Invisible Thread The True Story of an 11-Year-Old Panhandler, a Busy Sales Executive, and an Unlikely Meeting with Destiny by Laura Schroff which works for it if you'd like me to take it.

Nanci | 1864 comments Stephanie the book referenced above, An Invisible Thread The True Story of an 11-Year-Old Panhandler, a Busy Sales Executive, and an Unlikely Meeting with Destiny by Laura Schroff also works for the square you chose "child/teen" if you'd like me to fill it. Not trying to take anything away from anyone :), just trying to find a spot for it in this challenge.

Drishti (drishti_ohri) | 113 comments Hey team, I added my book for black dress. I'm currently reading it. :)

message 58: by Nanci (new)

Nanci | 1864 comments Just looked at the spreadsheet and see that the two person square has already been completed by Nicole. Good job, Nicole! Please ignore my earlier post.

Oops, Jennifer I had already claimed "3 or more people" square. Does Sycamore Row work for "desk"? If so, please add it to the spreadsheet. :)

Ha! You beat me to the punch, Drishti. I just picked up The Swans of Fifth Avenue by Melanie Benjamin and was going to use it for that square. :) Oh well, I've got plenty of other reading to do first and I'm sure I'll find a spot for it in another challenge.

Lol. But if you do read that book, I could shift mine to white dress. (Yeah, it works for that one too.) ;)

That would be great, Drishti, if you don't mind. I'll definitely read it within the next week or so. Teamwork!!

Okay, I'll switch my book to the white dress task. :)

Done. :)

message 65: by Nanci (new)

Nanci | 1864 comments Thanks, Drishti. I entered my info for the "black dress".

Team,
Only 10 Bingo squares left to claim:
Cat
Dog
African animal
Sofa
Desk
Bed
Red dress
Green dress
Pink dress
Baby

And then of course all the reading that goes with them!

message 66: by Nanci (new)

Nanci | 1864 comments I completed the lake/ocean square by reading The Midnight Watch A Novel of the Titanic and the Californian by David Dyer . I was reading Stormy Cove for the square, but decided to put that on the back burner since I could use this book for a few other challenges too.

I have a few other books I need to read first, then hope to start my "black dress" square.

message 67: by Drishti (new)

Drishti (drishti_ohri) | 113 comments Awesome. :)

message 68: by Drishti (new)

Drishti (drishti_ohri) | 113 comments Hey team, I added one of my books for "desk". This leaves 9 bingo squares which are unclaimed. :)

message 69: by Nanci (new)

Nanci | 1864 comments Way to go, Drishti! I'm half way through my "black dress". Should finish it today.

message 70: by Drishti (new)

Drishti (drishti_ohri) | 113 comments Good luck! :)

message 71: by Nanci (new)

Nanci | 1864 comments Just finished The Swans of Fifth Avenue by Melanie Benjamin for "black dress square. I will add it now. Fascinating, well-written historical fiction about Truman Capote and his "Swans". I give it 4.5 stars.

message 72: by Drishti (new)

Drishti (drishti_ohri) | 113 comments Looks like a good read. I'll surely check it out! :)

message 73: by Nanci (new)

Nanci | 1864 comments Drishti, have you noticed you and I have been the only ones posting for awhile?

Hello Team! Hope you're all doing well!

Do you think this would work for our "baby" square? Most Wanted by Lisa Scottoline

message 74: by Drishti (new)

Drishti (drishti_ohri) | 113 comments I was kinda wondering that too...

I think it would work. :)

message 75: by Nanci (new)

Nanci | 1864 comments Ok, I'm adding. If someone else says they've got one, I'll defer. :)

message 76: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Ann sorry, the last few weeks have been crazy for me! sounds good to me. also I will be reading more again. :) hope you all had a great 4th

message 77: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Field (nicolefield) | 48 comments Crazy for me as well! I've been reading along with the thread, but haven't had any books that fill the spots left :(

message 78: by Nanci (new)

Nanci | 1864 comments Hi Stephanie and Nicole! I get in reading slumps too sometimes, Stephanie, so I get it. RL gets busy! Nicole, some of the squares are just not making it for me either. Anybody else doing the WOBBLE challenge? That's taking precedence for me. :)

message 79: by Drishti (new)

Drishti (drishti_ohri) | 113 comments I'm doing the WOBBLE challenge too. And none of the books I'm reading fit the remaining squares. :(

Btw which team are you in, Nanci?

message 80: by Nanci (new)

Nanci | 1864 comments Harpy Owls, Air Team. How about you?

message 81: by Drishti (new)

Drishti (drishti_ohri) | 113 comments Slender Loris, Land Team. :)

message 82: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Field (nicolefield) | 48 comments What is the Wobble challenge?

message 83: by Nanci (new)

Nanci | 1864 comments How's your team doing? I think we're reading a ton, but we're somewhere in the middle of the pack at this point.

Nicole, it's a challenge on NBRC. You can read about it there. I've done a few challenges on GR, but this one is the most intense so far. Lots of reading!

message 84: by Drishti (last edited Jul 07, 2016 01:46AM) (new)

Drishti (drishti_ohri) | 113 comments We're almost at the last in the rankings. :( But I'm quite happy with my team since we're reaaaaaally chatty. (We were the second most chatty team in Battleship. ;)) But we are trying to catch up in the points. Hopefully, we will! :3

message 85: by Nanci (new)

Nanci | 1864 comments I know what you mean, Drishti. We were the 3rd chattiest team! Hey, that's something to crow about! I'd much rather have a fun team, than win. ;p

message 86: by Drishti (new)

Drishti (drishti_ohri) | 113 comments Exactly! ;D

message 87: by Nanci (new)

Nanci | 1864 comments I just finished Most Wanted by Lisa Scottoline for the "baby" square. Lisa Scottoline won't win any literary awards, but it was a fast-paced mystery read.

message 88: by Nanci (new)

Nanci | 1864 comments Hi team,
I've been out of the country for the past 3 weeks, so thought I'd check in. Are we still interested in finishing this BINGO card? I will be reading a book that works for flower in the next few days.
WOBBLE has been keeping me busy as co-captain and I'm sure you've all been busy too.

message 89: by Drishti (new)

Drishti (drishti_ohri) | 113 comments Hey Nanci!

If everyone is in, I'm still playing. But, others have been MIA for a while. So... where is everyone? How are you guys doing?

message 90: by Nanci (new)

Nanci | 1864 comments Hi Drishti,
Yes, most have been MIA, so thought I'd put out a feeler. Glad you're still around and interested. Hopefully some of the others will touch base soon.

message 91: by Nanci (new)

Nanci | 1864 comments Well, Drishti, it looks like it's just you and me. I know Stephanie signed up for the flower square, but I'm going to go ahead and claim it with the book I just finished, A Girl's Guide to Moving On (New Beginnings, #2) by Debbie Macomber . There's a sunflower in the pot on the far left hand side.

message 92: by Nanci (new)

Nanci | 1864 comments At least we have completed our first row; horizontal line 3!
Do you think I should contact one of the mods and see if we can get more players for our team? We still have 10 books left on our card.

That sounds like a good idea. :)

message 94: by Nanci (new)

Nanci | 1864 comments Ok, Drishti. I sent a PM to Karen asking if we could get a few more players on our team. Hopefully we'll get this kick started again. :)

message 95: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Ann hey guys! sorry I have been busy! but I just finished the book for flower and will add it in a bit. sorry again for being mia. Lots of weddings and baby showers :)

message 96: by Nanci (new)

Nanci | 1864 comments No problem, Stephanie. RL (real life) happens!

message 97: by Drishti (new)

Drishti (drishti_ohri) | 113 comments Awesome, Nanci!

Hey Stephanie! :)

message 98: by Nanci (new)

Nanci | 1864 comments Karen suggested I go to the sign up thread and invite a few to join our team, so I'll do that. Also, Jennifer is a friend of mine and on my Wobble team, so I'll ask her if she still wants to play.

Avid Reader and Geek Girl (avidreaderandgeekgirl) | 1572 comments can I join your team I was on another but everyone disappeared

message 100: by Drishti (new)

Drishti (drishti_ohri) | 113 comments Of course you can join us, Colleen! We would love that! :D
