Rick Riordan is really a classic. I have read the Percy Jackson series, but the Heroes of Olympus is still on my TBR pile. Mythology really intrigues me, and I like seeing the similarities and differences between the Greeks, Romans, and Egyptians. Although some of the adventures and powers the Kanes and Percy Jackson has are a little far fetched, one can't do anything but fall in love.

Rick Riordan is one of my favorite authors, one reason because you can learn a lot while reading but still enjoy a great story. I fell in love with Carter and Sadie Kane on page 1, just like I did Percy Jackson. There is so much going on in the book, I can hardly keep up at some times. I personally liked Percy Jackson a little better, but the Kane Chronicles are still worth reading.
