SOLVED. Girl has powers to feel emotions from books [s]

This is a book I read in elementary school in the mid 2000s. It's a chapter book and I know that the cover has some light blue. It's about a girl who finds a friend who has powers. The powers are when she touches a book she can feel emotions of fear or happiness depending on the tone of the book. I remember her accidentally touching a book with a wolf on it and it really scared her. The girl with the powers lived in a house with just her mom I'm pretty sure. If someone can help me out by finding this book's title I would be super grateful.
