Adriana | 3733 comments I'm almost done rereading The School for Good and Evil which will be two points. I'll probably read at least one more book today.

Hey guys. Just wanted to check in. I'm still here. Slowly reading but reading nonetheless. I've had a trying week at work and this week is not that much easier but thankfully I have vacation next week so I'll catch up then.

Adriana | 3733 comments I've read a couple of short books. I'm going to read a couple of br books next.

message 315: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments I've finished Poison Study (Study, #1) by Maria V. Snyder and written the review. But since there is a BR for it that I'm hoping to participate in I'm delaying posting it till I feel I can join that. :)

message 316: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments I'm also hoping to participate in TWO read a thon's this month. One for the 17-19th and one for the 19th - 25th so I'm hoping I can get a lot of short 100 pages novellas done during those. :)

message 317: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments Cool. What readathon's are those?

message 322: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments I finally got a chance to finish Poison Study. I'm so excited to read The Crown (The Selection, #5) by Kiera Cass next!!! I got it from the library earlier.

I might pick The Crown up, once I catch up with all my BRs I've fallen behind on. It's only 3 of them and 2 are short.

message 325: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments I fallen behind on one too which I plan to read soon hopefully. What are you reading now Cinthia?

message 326: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm nearly done with The Wretched of Muirwood (Legends of Muirwood, #1) by Jeff Wheeler about 30 pages left (not a BR). Then I'm moving on to The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde (BR) and then I'll only have 2 BRs to do... I will post 3 reviews today though. Sadly none of them are BRs.

message 327: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments Have you liked The Wretched of Muirwood? What is it about?

You know I have heard of The Picture of Dorian Gray but I have no idea what it is about.

It's fine. I'm pretty much reading whatever I want but I'm trying to read some br's when I can and I'm interested in the book.

message 328: by [deleted user] (new)

No. I didn't really care for muirwood. It's a fantasy about some girl being like a low class (a wretched) and her meeting an aldenmaster (kinda like a magician) and her being hunted and pretty much finding out at the end she is some kind of great magician or foreteller.

I'm interested to get to Dorian grey.

Yeah. I pretty much just have read whatever I want to.

message 329: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments That sucks. The plot is similiar to some other books I've read. I'm really into reading fairy tale/fantasy books this month. What books have you loved reading lately?

message 330: by [deleted user] (new)

glad that book is over.... I changed my mind... I will finish The Boy with Words by C.E. Wilson today... I am half ways through.. I have been reading this book for about 2 weeks.. that is kinda lame... I will then read The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde ...

message 331: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments You must not like The Boy With Words if you've beem reading it for two weeks :/

message 332: by [deleted user] (new)

It's ok. It just hasn't really grabbed my attention so I read like a chapter a day lol.

message 333: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments I'm going to be listening to Ramona the Pest by Beverly Cleary and reading Since You've Been Gone by Morgan Matson today.

message 334: by [deleted user] (new)

Jeez!! Finally finished boys with words but wow that took me forever. I feel so burned out from that book. I didn't really care for most of it.

message 335: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments I'll be finishing my 5th book in the next 24-48 hours. :)

message 338: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments I finished reviewing the two books I planned yesterday. I can not recommend reading The Unexpected Everything highly enough!

message 339: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments I'm reading the Serpent and the Pearl. :)

I'm almost 60% done. ^_^

message 340: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments Oh that's the last book in the series right? And then the spin off I think. Is the MC still a concubine?

message 341: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments It's the first book, and the MC is still a concubine. To the Pope! :O

message 342: by [deleted user] (new)

Ha! I just finished reading one of my books and didn't even realize it was book 3 in a series. Didn't feel like it. Oh well. I might go back and start from book 1. Almost done with 50 shades book 3. 50% through.

Yup. That was my reaction too. He also has a slew of 'bastards' from a previous mistress. :/

message 345: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments I just finished The Serpent and the Pearl and shall write and post the review in the morning. :)

message 346: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments I feel a reading slump coming up... Sigh!

message 347: by [deleted user] (new)

Fifty Shades Freed (Fifty Shades, #3) by E.L. James and Love Me Sweet (Bell Harbor, #3) by Tracy Brogan done, reviewed and posted...

Goals for Tomorrow: We Are the Ants by Shaun David Hutchinson , and The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde ..

I am also listening to Half Wild (The Half Bad Trilogy, #2) by Sally Green but that should take me a couple of days as I only listen to it on my commute...

I have to go to sleep now and go to work in the morning...

message 348: by [deleted user] (new)

Irene wrote: "I feel a reading slump coming up... Sigh!"

I certainly hate when that happens to me... I hope yours doesn't stick around... but take your time though it just takes the right book to get you out :)

message 349: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments I've started Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1) by Ilona Andrews . It's a short read so I'm hoping to power through it and finish it today. If I don't get to at least chapter 5 in the next hour or two I'll DNF it.

message 350: by [deleted user] (new)

Finally officially on vacation for 1 week.
