Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments I finished THG (BR) and will start The Time Machine now which is also a BR :)

message 252: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments Yay! We are in first :D

I haven't seen Amy around since the second.

Goals: Read Palace of Stone (br) and figure out what to read next.

message 253: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments Finished The Time Machine. Now to choose my next read.....

message 254: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments That's great (: ~ That's six points right there.

message 255: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments Did you like The Time Machine?

message 256: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments Yeah, I did, but it got a bit boring there at the middle, even though it's short.

I'd say we're doing pretty good in this challenge! :))

message 257: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments I've seen the movie and I thought it was pretty good although I hate time machine stories now. If they were real....

Yeah, we are all doing amazing!

message 258: by Madelyn (new)

Madelyn Rose | 447 comments I just finished my two books Normal Girl by Molly Jong-Fast Breaking Dawn (Twilight, #4) by Stephenie Meyer and I will post my reviews as soon as I can.

message 261: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments Wow! That's great Madelyn :D

Did you enjoy both of them?

message 262: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments I got distracted from my goal today. I decided to work on books for another challenge that don't count. :(

I'm still going to be up for several hours though so I'm hoping to still finish Daughters of Rome. ^_^

message 263: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah. I also think I over did my goal for today. I will finish paper magician today but I couldn't crack the time machine. I will do that tomorrow.

message 264: by [deleted user] (new)

The Paper Magician (The Paper Magician Trilogy, #1) by Charlie N. Holmberg done...

Goals for tomorrow: Finish The Time Machine by H.G. Wells

I think smaller goals may keep me on task... I have about 10 hours I can't read cuz of work (ugh... why can I just be a book editor)... 6 hours I have to sleep... and 4 hours maybe doing other random things... feeding the child, cleaning the house (which I don't mind cuz I can do the audiobooks, but I won't have any more BR's for the other audiobooks );

Good night everyone...

message 265: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments I cannot for the life of me figure out what to read! :P

In a good way or a bad way? ^-^

message 268: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments I'm halfway through my br read! I didn't read anything earlier so I'm reading really late.

@Irene - Browsing the library always helps me or library ebooks online.

I just got up about 7 hours ago so I'm in the middle of my day. :P

message 270: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments Oh then it's the perfect time to go the library :D

message 271: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments I think I'll go with Firefight (Reckoners, #2) by Brandon Sanderson since I already own it and there's a BR...

I'm having a friend over today,so I won't be reading much :)

message 272: by Irene (new)

message 278: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments I'm feeling sad-ish, so I probably won't be reading much today. :)

message 279: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments Sorry I've been slacking a bit the last few days. I'm almost finished Daughters of Rome now and hopefully I'll start a new book today as well. :)

Adriana | 3733 comments Irene wrote: "I'm feeling sad-ish, so I probably won't be reading much today. :)"

Oh, I hope you feel better (:

Funny or Disney movies always make me feel a little bit better.

message 281: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments I didn't get to read like I wanted to yesterday. I'll start and finish the Complete Winnie the Pooh and start a buddy read today.

message 282: by [deleted user] (new)

I think we all just decided to slack off. I haven't finished a book for 2 days. I keep starting but can't seem to finish. I certainly didn't have time today I had to stay at work extra hours.

message 283: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments Ugh, I've got a crick in the neck (hope that's the correct translation). Haven't tried that before, but good God it hurts!!! I'll see if I can read later today, right now I can't because it hurts my neck to be in "reading position".

We're still doing good! :)

message 284: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments I managed to listen to an audiobook. Have any of you read The Bad Beginning (A Series of Unfortunate Events, #1) by Lemony Snicket series? I really loved that book, haven't read it before, so I'm off to listen to book two right this instant! :D
Still struggling with my neck, unfortunately. I hope it'll be gone soon!! :)

message 285: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments Almost done with book two in the series :D

message 286: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm finally done with work!! Reading here I come. I feel so bad cuz I need to catch up with 2 BRs. And I gotta have them done by tomorrow cuz I got another BR set up for the 10th.

message 287: by Madelyn (new)

message 290: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments There's a chance I might be dropping out of the challenge. My cat is very ill and we might have to put him down. D:

message 291: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments Aww :( Sorry to hear that!!

message 292: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments Irene wrote: "Aww :( Sorry to hear that!!"

TY. It was very sudden. He has a blood clot in his leg so we got some meds for him and brought him home. We aren't sure yet what we are doing but euthanasia seems likely. :(

message 293: by Madelyn (new)

Madelyn Rose | 447 comments That is awful @Bookbuyer ! Hopefully your cat gets better...

Me too. I had to put my dog down in January so I'm very upset that this happened this year of all years. :(

message 298: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments There never is a good time for things like that.

As for the challenge, don't worry about it! Just take your time.

Ty. I usually read when I grieve but since it's two deaths in a year I might be too depressed and sleep more. :(

message 300: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments I can't do that at all, I just sit around and stare and start at some art projects to keep my hands busy, but yeah we grieve differently.
