Thanks, Marisa. That is a friend's cat, Ziva, who considers me one of her humans. She was a shelter kitty, and it took her nearly a year to decide on her "furever" home. She is as soft as she looks, and sheds like crazy.

This month is going to be a little bit more difficult for me. I'm going to have to dig through my Kindle's archive of books. I love the photo too my white cat sleeps like that ALL the time and it never gets old, it just gets cuter!
Lacey, you might find June books easier to find than expected once you get looking. I admit, I pretty much already know which books I want to read.
The cat book should be fairly easy, as there are a TON of books that feature cats in or on them. Some suggestions: Lilian Jackson Braun, Miranda James, Leann Sweeney, Erika Chase, Laurie Cass and Delia James. Just to name a few. ;-)
There are also a lot of sewing/quilting books. Check our group Bookshelf for a few ideas.
Am thinking maybe I need to start a bookshelf for "poison" books. Agatha Christie is always a good choice there, as are some "tea" books. The one I'm eyeing for this honor is The Morning Show Murders by Al Roker.

Too bad I read the Danger Cove Quilting Mystery novels already, the next one won't be out until this summer. The cat and poison topics are easy. This month is going to take more thought than May.

Let's not forget the Midnight Louie series for cat books. I'm thinking the latest Danger Cove novel for poison. The title is Passion, Poison & Puppy Dogs.
Another one we miss is Mrs Murphy and friends by Rita Mae Brown. I would like the time to read all Midnight Louie as I seldom found books to read when we were traveling.
I will be leading a discussion on BLACK CATS LEGACY by Elaine Faber on catsmysteries@yahoogroups.com

Anytime. I have the first Midnight Louie book in my TBR and may use it for the June challenge. I also have a cat named Louis, the local Humane Society where I adopted him had his name as Louise. They either had his gender wrong or didn't know how to spell. Hard to believe that was around 15 years ago and he and his sister, not a litter mate, are still with me.

Louise? That's the english version of my name (Luisa) ☺
That was the name on his collar. His litter mate brothers were named after Donald Duck's other 2 nephews so I figured they just got the spelling wrong because Louis is definitely a male cat.

I'm rethinking Death of a Kitchen Diva as I realize that the white "sauce" on the cover is really clam chowder which when poisoned killed the victim. I'm thinking this may work for number 5, which I'm having trouble finding a book in my TBR for.
Hope to have Death of a Kitchen Diva done this weekend, but I have been distracted by finishing
what an exciting book, (5 chapters or so to go) Also working on
so I can finish a word in the Spring challenge.
I forgot to mention I'd be participating in this challenge. :) I was wondering what y'all think about my possible selection for a book where someone is poisoned... Murder Most Howl... Would it be considered poisoning if a non-diabetic person is injected with insulin, in order to kill them? It's not a traditional "poison" but I'm thinking it would count. This book also has a murder mystery weekend and the fake murder was done by poison. And, the cover depicts poison. :)
Am I pushing a little too much to include this as my poison book? ;) I just really like this series and was super excited when I found this one at my library! :)
Kimberly, insulin is really a very strong poison, although we don't think about it in that way, so I think it's totally on track.

I agree. Many medications are poisonous if not taken properly. There's also a cat on the cover so you can use it for either one of those choices.
btw - I found several cozy mysteries in my TBR stack with cats on the cover!
Thanks Marisa and Nell! :) I'll keep it for my poison book. :) Nell, I'm using one of the Author of the month books for a book with a cat on the cover. :)
It has two cats. :) And pretty good so far! :) Now, I just gotta find the rest of the books... ;) :)

What Marisa said. If you have difficulty finding a "poison" book, I have added a "poison" shelf to the group's bookshelf and have been trying to add more books to it. You can also check out what other people in the group are reading for that. ;-)
