Is this the last one?"

Yes, this is the last book in the trilogy. Now I just need to catch up on one of her more recent series. She's too darn prolific! :-\

The author of this Memoir was Wasington's spymaster in the New York area during the Revolutionary War. One of his classmates was a fellow by the name of Nathan Hale.

Karen M | 1436 comments Finished The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair that Changed America which earned an easy 5 stars from me. I read for it my ftf book club and I really enjoyed the discussion. Now I'm reading Time and Regret, a WWI story. This is another good one.

I have DEVIL IN THE WHITE CITY in The Pile. I really loved his, Dead Wake The Last Crossing of the Lusitania by Erik Larson Dead Wake: The Last Crossing of the Lusitania. He has a knack for bringing history to life and making it read like a novel.

Devil was very good, two stories in one and I enjoyed them both. I had read In the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror, and an American Family in Hitler's Berlin and my reaction was 'WOW!" so I knew I would enjoy Devil. Now I'm adding Dead Wake to my wish list!

Finished Time and Regret today. I'll be reading Hosanna next.

Carla (carla1957) Almost finished Scarlet (The Lunar Chronicles, #2) by Marissa Meyer . I am enjoying this series, even though it is not my usual cup of tea.

I am so far behind on her books. You are right, she has so many, yet she still writes her own, not like some other authors out there who have writing partners.

Carol Perry (caroljperry) | 90 comments Just finished an excellent non-fiction book. "Maria's Journey" by Ramon and Trisha Arredondo. It's a true and moving and sometimes funny story of one woman's journey to becoming an American, raising children, learning so much along the way. Maria was Ray Arredondo's mother, and Ray and his wife researched, interviewed and put together this well written and touching biography. Highly recommended!

I read it on my own while in college and actually liked it.

message 220: by Joy (new)

Joy (audioaddict1234) It was on my list of classics to read but also it is relatively short and people told me that another book I liked a lot was based on this one. I finally had to read a summary of the book bc I am 40% in and wasn't seeing much resemblance.

Bridget's Quiet Corner (chaptersandscreens) City of Lost Souls (The Mortal Instruments, #5) by Cassandra Clare City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare gradually working my way through the series..trying to get to The Infernal Devices...hoping I like them. I better because I have all 3 books..which I try not to do usually because sometimes I tend to not always like the books after book 1...if i like book 1 at all. But I haven't even read book 1 because I haven't finished the Mortal Instruments (evidently)

Lacey (she2beautiful) | 13659 comments Just started reading Chocolat (Chocolat, #1) by Joanne Harris , which I'm enjoying so far. I find Ms. Harris' descriptions of the town and her chocolate confections to be incredible. The only thing I find a little off putting is the random jumps in the story line. But otherwise it's a very entertaining read.
