Vicky I usually copy paste the question in a note pad on my computer and type in between the lines. Then copy paste back to the comment box on Goodreads.

You can also copy paste the question in the comment box and type here but I find it harder because it's a small box.

Lara | 2335 comments And if you click on the (some html is ok) link above the comment box, it gives you some basic instructions for how to make your text bold, etc. Just make sure to add the <> before and / after the text you want to format. Otherwise everything following the initial instruction will be affected.

I'm putting it on hold. I might get back to it later in the month. I started reading Marrying Winterborne (The Ravenels, #2) by Lisa Kleypas and stayed up late reading it. So glad I'm not is a rut, I was beginning to worry :0)

Anita (anitanodiva) | 607 comments I am hung up on dad's being guilty of betraying his team. A year later Charlie comes across some evidence that proves that, then all hell breaks loose. It just seems strange. I agree that there must be a lot more to what happened than any of them, including Rixey, knows.

If it turns out that Dad is dirty, I am definitely not going to continue with this series. Dad has trouble accepting his gay son so that proves he is a dirty rotten traitor. Talk about a stereotype.

CD {Boulder Blvd} (boulderblvd) | 86 comments I'm also one that is having trouble getting into this book and behind everyone else, I've only made it through Chapter 4. I find the set-up a little contrived for my liking and there have already been a number of eye-rolls for me.

I really had issues with some of the lust set-up. I'm disinclined to like the "girl in the window scenes". Generally I pull the drapes/shades before I take a shower versus parading in front of the window after the shower. Almost every single time these scenes feel eye rolling cliché. And the scene where after the break-in she bends over with her butt in the air with him behind her for a mental lust moment. Please! I gagged over it. And she doesn't really know this guy and has no problem with going to his place, she doesn't know where his place is and she doesn't even follow him in her own car. So she sets herself up to be totally dependent on him. It just feels really contrived. Does it get better?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 607 comments Yeah, sort of, kinda gets better.?. It just isn't ringing any bells for me, I'm about to start chapter 17. I have learned to suspend reality in the run up to the big sex scene. This is fiction and we have a short time frame and a volatile situation. My #1 pet peeve is that all romantic-suspense authors must wait until the story is at the 50% point before they actually get to have sex. That is the real cliché. Then Rixey regrets it and makes Brenna feel bad because she wanted it. Another cliché.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 607 comments 12. I wasn’t expecting them to stop after he got the condom out and was disappointed. But hey … they finally and after a few unsuccessful attempt got there. LOL. What did you think of how he reacted afterwards? Any idea why he doesn’t like to be called Nicholas? That scene was off the charts HOT! I was disappointed they stopped too, but when Becca nearly faints, well that really put the kibosh on it. Nick is trying not to get deeply involved with the daughter of someone he considers a traitor. In my house the full first name means you are in trouble. All three names mean you are really in trouble.

13. IMO one of the scariest plot in suspense books is dirty cops. What do you think? I agree, dirty cops is certainly scary. Terrorists too.

14.Aawww the puppy ! I like the cuteness it has added to the book. The antiques she was up to and the naming banter was funny. But I kept thinking aren’t they going to wash her?! OMG, when she picked her up and cuddled her I almost gagged.

15. What do you think of Nick’s teammate? Who stands out more? Shane? Easy? Becket? Marz? What about the hurt feeling between them? They all have suffered over what happened. I find it sad that they each went their own way and have had to deal with it on their own. At least now they can talk/fight it out. Shane is hot and Marz has some deep issues, even though he appears to be well adjusted.

16. There was a mention of one General Landon Kaine, her father’s colleague. Do you think he is anyone significant? Yep – he did it. He is the Baddie.

17.Eeeepp the pinkie! I can’t believe the story went there. Was it a warning or message? What do you think of Becca’s reaction? What do you think is happening with Charlie and the reason for his kidnapping? With no message, it is hard to know what it is. Sadistic, for sure. Becca’s reaction was normal and expected. There is something Charlie has that whoever has him wants. He is still alive, but not doing well. The motive for the kidnapping is the mystery of the book.

18. What are those numbers and letters in the locket? BTW I wanted to smack the cleaning lady for replacing the photos with her own photos. Did she tell the whole truth? The numbers and letters are another clue as to why Charlie was taken. I did not blame her for changing the photos. To her, it was “finders, keepers”. I think she told the truth.

19.Oooh The plot Thickens! Do you still think it has something to do with her father betrayal or is it something else? What is the connection between Charlie(or his father) and Jimmy Church’s and his organization? Could it be drugs? Yes, I think it still has to do with Dad and the failed mission, or did the mission fail. Maybe someone higher than Dad did not like how effective the Team was in the interdiction of the heroin trade in Afagainstain.

I actually don't have problems with the mystery part. It seems very logical to me. Although there is still some mystery as what exactly happened but it makes total sense to me.

I don't think the whole mystery is solved in this one book. I think there will be more on what exactly happened in future books.

I hate scenes like that and you can find at least one or 2 in EVERY romantic suspense/erotica book! At least he is not running around and fighting the enemy with an erection the whole time, like a lot of other books I've read!

Silvia Lisa Kay’s Discussion Questions for Chapters 1 -10

1. Becca’s a nurse, so I like her already. LOL! No, seriously, she also gets points for saying “But please don’t confuse my needing help with being helpless.” And I like that Becca’s not afraid to defend herself. You?

I'm not a big fan of her defensive attitude off the bat, lighten up! There's nothing for her to prove yet. Nick's doing what he's been trained in, Special Ops.

2. Okay, I admit it; I had to look up “emo hair.” Definition: (view spoiler) I did understand the “Route 69” tee-shirt, though. LOL! So, my question is, what did you think of Jeremy? I like him, but was worried at first that he was the hero in this one. You? I did like his and Nick’s banter, though. Jeremy definitely has Nick’s number. LOL!

I love Jeremy, he's my fave so far. Nick looks up to him for all he's accomplished, e.g. the tattoo biz and the warehouse/loft, just being a great kid. I hope Jeremy gets his own story/spinoff in the series.

3. What do you think of Nick? A bit scary? A bit stubborn. I did believe, considering his history with Becca’s father, Colonel Merritt, he wouldn’t take on her inquire. I also believed he’d be haunted by her, and not just because of her looks and his attraction to her. He seems like a good guy, despite that initial shrug off, so I believed it when he went to her house and staked it out. Plus, I bet he’s more than a little curious. Did you believe this set-up?

I saw their relationship coming after Becca's physical reaction to him at first sighting and his gruff treatment towards her. Not sure if this was a set up.

4. Do you think Nick’s bad back with come into play in the storyline?

It does bother him quite a bit. Maybe Becca's boxing will come in handy and she'll have to use it if Nicks back goes out!!

5. Do you think Charlie’s disappearance has anything to do with him fixing his landlord Walt son’s ticket? Or something more sinister?

No, I think Charlie found something online about his dad when he was hacking into a secret government site.

6. Well… that was nice… that Nick took Becca to his house. And I love a man who cooks for me. And he put her to bed. Thoughts?

A nice soft touch for an Alpha male. It softens some of his hard edges without making him a wuss!

7. BOOK QUOTE/Nick’s thoughts: So, did you know your father’s lies and betrayal led to the deaths of six of my friends, impugned my honor, and ended my military career? That’s a lot to get over. Think Becca’s father really did those things, or is there more to the story?

Her father was involved in something sinister or covert. It sure impacted Charlie and someone is after the info Charlie found since they stole his computers and ransacked his apartment. They also are looking for something in Becca's house or planting bugs.

8. Charlie’s gay. I wasn’t expecting that. Sad that he and his father didn’t make up before his dad passed. No question here, just a comment.

It would be interesting when/if Charlie is found if he hooks up with Jeremy! Now that would be a yummy storyline!

9. Why does Nick have six and not seven men depicted in his tattoo? Was the seventh man killed Becca’s father?

Hmmmm?! No clue regarding the different number, it'll probably be explained later.

10. Ice cream? Huh, I think Becca had more than ice cream on her mind. Drat Jeremy for interrupting them! LOL! And I sure wasn’t expecting Nick to make that suggestion to release stress. LOL! Oh my! Things got a little hot and heavy there. Was Nick right to bring things to a halt? Comments.

Lol! No, Nick should have let nature take its course!! Two consenting adults and all that....come on! Leave it to the younger sibling to interrupt at just the wrong time! Drat!

11. Man-oh-man! Things got serious real fast. I wasn’t expecting that! I wasn’t expecting them to go back to her place so soon, and I was expecting the attempted abduction. Yikes! What a place to stop. Or did you keep reading?

I stopped at chapter 10. Things are getting very interesting!

ShoSho (shoshost) | 12263 comments ShoSho’s questions for Chapter 17-23

20. Poor Becca! On top of everything that is happening to her, she’s lost the only thing she had left of her brother. Do you have/keep things that you’re emotionally attached to like this?

21. What did you think of how Jeremy confronted Nick about the tattoos and how he’d been kept out of the loop? Was nick right to want to keep him apart from all this? Was it even possible?

22. The dog naming thing and the guys breaking into songs was real fun and it showed even though these guys haven’t been talking and have kept their distance they are true friends. Once a friend told me “A true friend is someone who you can talk and laugh and be yourself with when you are together even if you haven’t seen or talked to each other for 10 years.” Thoughts?

23. That guitar drawing things and what came before and after was very HOT. Not a question just saying ;)

24. One of the things I liked about this book was that they talked honestly! Maybe not right away but as soon as they got over their anger. They said they loved each other because they did and I loved Becca because she didn’t keep a grudge, she thought about it and then apologized and he apologized right back. Thoughts?

25. We finally found out what happened in the mission that went wrong although there is still some mysteries. “I have a message for you: death finds all traitors”. Who sent this message and what does it mean? Add to that the address for the bank account was Charlie’s + he gave Becca a bracelet with a binary code hidden in it+ his oldest son died of an overdose. Do you have a theory?

26. What did you think of how they got Charlie out? Realistic? What of Crystal? Will we see her again?

27. I’m guessing the rest of the series is about how the whole team uncover what really is going on and clearing their names and getting their HEA. Will you read the rest of the series?

28. What did you think of the whole book and what did you rate it?

12. I wasn’t expecting them to stop after he got the condom out and was disappointed. But hey … they finally and after a few unsuccessful attempt got there. LOL. What did you think of how he reacted afterwards? Any idea why he doesn’t like to be called Nicholas? Well, weren't they in the hallway? I was wondering about someone just walking in on them. Or, maybe I missed something. However, Nick has quite the guilt trip riding him. As for why he doesn't like his full name--that's not unusual. A lot of people like their 'manly' nicknames better. However, I did wonder at Becca's surprise that his name is Nicholas. I mean, what else would it be? It's not common to name a man Nick; it's a nickname.

13. IMO one of the scariest plot in suspense books is dirty cops. What do you think? Really creepy. Who can you trust?

14.Aawww the puppy ! I like the cuteness it has added to the book. The antiques she was up to and the naming banter was funny. But I kept thinking aren’t they going to wash her?! And shouldn't they check to see if someone lost her? After all, I don't see a stray puppy losing it's leg and then surviving on the street.

15. What do you think of Nick’s teammate? Who stands out more? Shane? Easy? Becket? Marz? What about the hurt feeling between them? I find them interesting. And I think the author is doing a good job at not overemphasizing any one of them right now.

16. There was a mention of one General Landon Kaine, her father’s colleague. Do you think he is anyone significant? I'm betting he is significant somehow. I hope he wasn't behind trashing the guys' reputations.

17.Eeeepp the pinkie! I can’t believe the story went there. Was it a warning or message? What do you think of Becca’s reaction? What do you think is happening with Charlie and the reason for his kidnapping? I know! I was surprised it got that serious. Though I find it really weird there was no message. That doesn't make sense.

18. What are those numbers and letters in the locket? BTW I wanted to smack the cleaning lady for replacing the photos with her own photos. Did she tell the whole truth? Great clue. However, I'm surprised no one else is taking the whole 'don't say anything over the cell phone for security's sake' seriously. Only Miguel is consistent with that. As for the maid, my problem was with her lying about anything being left in the room. The motel should have a lost and found. She doesn't get to keep it just because it was left there. That's still theft.

19.Oooh The plot Thickens! Do you still think it has something to do with her father betrayal or is it something else? What is the connection between Charlie(or his father) and Jimmy Church’s and his organization? Could it be drugs? Well a lot of opium comes from Afghanistan, so there could be a connection. I'm really not sure.

Lara | 2335 comments I just finished. So here goes...

ShoSho’s questions for Chapter 17-23

20. Poor Becca! On top of everything that is happening to her, she’s lost the only thing she had left of her brother. Do you have/keep things that you’re emotionally attached to like this? I thought that was really rough as well. I'd hate to lose my mementos.

21. What did you think of how Jeremy confronted Nick about the tattoos and how he’d been kept out of the loop? Was nick right to want to keep him apart from all this? Was it even possible? Well, I thought Jeremy had a point, but also didn't think Nick was unreasonable in his actions. However, I agree that it probably wasn't possible to keep everything separate.

Yes, the dog naming was very cute and showed that connection, even if it was strained. And they clearly still have a team vibe.

Thoughts? I agree. I felt the lust and sex was overdone, especially at the beginning. However, the communication was good. Even if one did something, later they'd explain and apologize.

It was either from the US drug cartel or the military contact (the general?). I do wonder if he was under cover trying to get at the source/connection of the trade and help take it down. However, I don't understand how the team could be listed as all being killed when they were able to go home and live with family. That didn't make sense.

26. What did you think of how they got Charlie out? Realistic? What of Crystal? Will we see her again? I can see something like that happening, but I don't know how realistic it was. And we'll definitely see Crystal again. That was clear from the first scene with her.

27. I’m guessing the rest of the series is about how the whole team uncover what really is going on and clearing their names and getting their HEA. Will you read the rest of the series? Well, I already own it, so I'll read it. I hope that it only gets better from here.

28. What did you think of the whole book and what did you rate it? I think I'm going to give it a 3. I felt the lust and emotional connection moved too fast. Plus, I the plot took a while to get moving. The mystery is better than the relationship, but I liked how open and upfront Becca was.

#24. It’s always like this in these kind of books. I wish the authors wouldn’t do that!
#25. Yes I’m thinking along the same lines. Either he’d been undercover or has changed his mind after he’d got involved. I assumed all of them listed as killed was a typo because it didn’t make sense to me either.
#28. I agree the mystery was better than the romance, a little less lust would have made it much better.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 607 comments 20. Poor Becca! On top of everything that is happening to her, she’s lost the only thing she had left of her brother. Do you have/keep things that you’re emotionally attached to like this? I really felt for her in that scene. The whole stress of the situation with Charlie missing and now losing a precious possession was too much. I would have bawled like a baby. I have some things, mostly jewelry. As I get older I’ve found that a lot of time possessions possess you.

21. What did you think of how Jeremy confronted Nick about the tattoos and how he’d been kept out of the loop? Was nick right to want to keep him apart from all this? Was it even possible? Nick had it coming. I don’t think Nick had a clue how far the situation would go. Not involving Jeremy was a noble goal, but not practical.

That was the funniest scene. I love it. It earned this book an extra star. I have friends all over the country and when we meet up, it’s like we were never apart.

Thoughts? A per peeve of mine is that the H/h do not usually communicate honestly with each other.

Frank Merritt was recruited to go deep undercover to find out who was heading the drug operation. I never believed that he was dirty, I still don’t. the clues he left for his children will eventually unravel this mystery. I’m disappointed in Becca for not looking for looking for other explanations for his actions. What can I say, sex fried her brain cells.

26. What did you think of how they got Charlie out? Realistic? What of Crystal? Will we see her again? Hostage rescue can be really tricky, it was done well here. Crystal and Shane hook up in the next book. Seeing her again was predictable.

27. I’m guessing the rest of the series is about how the whole team uncover what really is going on and clearing their names and getting their HEA. Will you read the rest of the series? If I was reading on my own – no. I’ll continue with the group for at least the next book. If for no other reason than to prove Nick wrong about the Coronal, I’ll keep reading.

28. What did you think of the whole book and what did you rate it? It didn’t grab me and make me involved with the characters. I rated it 3 stars.

Silvia ShoSho’s Questions for chapter 11-16

12. I wasn’t expecting them to stop after he got the condom out and was disappointed. But hey … they finally and after a few unsuccessful attempt got there. LOL. What did you think of how he reacted afterwards? Any idea why he doesn’t like to be called Nicholas?

Nick probably didn't want Becca to feel he was taking advantage of her while she's in a vulnerable state, also he needs to keep focused on Charlie and the goal of clearing the names of his Special Ops team. Another reason is maybe he doesn't want to get close to anyone just yet, out of his comfort zone.

13. IMO one of the scariest plot in suspense books is dirty cops. What do you think?

Yes, dirty cops is a very scary plot. Anyone in authority who abuses that power needs a huge light on them!

14.Aawww the puppy ! I like the cuteness it has added to the book. The antiques she was up to and the naming banter was funny. But I kept thinking aren’t they going to wash her?!

I love that puppy too! The names bantered around had me chuckling, and when she was scurrying with Jess's thong...too funny. I see a story about Jess coming down the line...ShoSho is this wishful thinking?

15. What do you think of Nick’s teammate? Who stands out more? Shane? Easy? Becket? Marz? What about the hurt feeling between them?

I don't blame them for being mad at Nick, after all Nick wouldn't return their calls, texts anything, he ignored them!....Becket stood out just because he cold conked Nick (I didn't feel sorry for Nick, he deserved it...ok, I'm bad!) but also Marz because of his uplifting spirit! He is the one that seems to get along with everyone.

16. There was a mention of one General Landon Kaine, her father’s colleague. Do you think he is anyone significant?

Since he was just briefly mentioned he's probably gonna come up later in the series somewhere and probably not in a good way, he's probably a bad man. Maybe he was behind all the brouhaha regarding Becca's dad and then made it look like Becca's dad was the bad one!

17.Eeeepp the pinkie! I can’t believe the story went there. Was it a warning or message? What do you think of Becca’s reaction? What do you think is happening with Charlie and the reason for his kidnapping?

Poor Charlie! Ouch! And Becca...what a way to find out about her brother. And the "not knowing" his status, ugh...that's the hardest part! I can't tie the Church gang and the Special Ops involving Becca's dad together unless they were in cahoots with importing heroin from Afghanistan and Charlie found out! Maybe that Gen Kaine was involved?

18. What are those numbers and letters in the locket? BTW I wanted to smack the cleaning lady for replacing the photos with her own photos. Did she tell the whole truth?

Maybe it was a combination to a safe...it's some kind of code!! I think the manager of the motel knew more than the cleaning lady.

19.Oooh The plot Thickens! Do you still think it has something to do with her father betrayal or is it something else? What is the connection between Charlie(or his father) and Jimmy Church’s and his organization? Could it be drugs?

See answer to #17.

#21. Exactly, noble but not practical!
#25. I don’t think she had the resources to look for more before but now that Charlie is saved, I’m sure the 2 of them will look for more evidence to figure out what exactly happened.
#26.Yes it was well done.
#27. I’m glad you’re joining us again Anita  I hope you like the next one better.

#13. I agree
#14.No I believe she has a book later in the series.
#15.Lol yes he deserved that punch!
#16.Yep that’s what I think too.

Silvia ShoSho’s questions for Chapter 17-23

20. Poor Becca! On top of everything that is happening to her, she’s lost the only thing she had left of her brother. Do you have/keep things that you’re emotionally attached to like this?

About 4 years ago I bought two rectangle jewelry boxes and arranged all my jewelry I received as gifts from my husband, my late father and my late great grandmother and other pieces. A few weeks later we were burglarized and all my jewelry was stolen. I was devastated because they were priceless due to the sentimental value. They were never recovered. I can certainly relate to Becca's loss.

21. What did you think of how Jeremy confronted Nick about the tattoos and how he’d been kept out of the loop? Was nick right to want to keep him apart from all this? Was it even possible?

I can understand Jeremy's anger but also Nick wanting to keep his brother safe.
With Jeremy living among the Spec Ops team it would be hard to keep him out of the loop. Jeremy ended up providing insight into the gangs so it turned out he provided some valuable Intel.

I have a few friends that I only talk to every few years and we can pick up right where we left off! That's what true friendship is all about.

23. That guitar drawing things and what came before and after was very HOT. Not a question just saying ;)

I totally agree! HAWT!

24. One of the things I liked about this book was that they talked honestly! Maybe not right away but as soon as they got over their anger. They said they loved each other because they did and I loved Becca because she didn’t keep a grudge, she thought about it and then apologized and he apologized right back. Thoughts?

That's what makes a great relationship. Honesty. Openness. The ability to apologize, accept an apology, forgive, and to not hold a grudge. Oh, and laughter. Also besides loving someone, you must always like them...a lot!

I think that General Kaine had something to do with it. I hope Scott's death wasn't something more sinister than an overdose.

26. What did you think of how they got Charlie out? Realistic? What of Crystal? Will we see her again?

I loved how Charlie was rescued, very heroic! I think Shane may go back and "thank" Crystal properly. She did help them after All! Another book in the series ShoSho? ; )

27. I’m guessing the rest of the series is about how the whole team uncover what really is going on and clearing their names and getting their HEA. Will you read the rest of the series?

I'll definitely continue reading the series!

28. What did you think of the whole book and what did you rate it?

I enjoyed the first book, 4 stars!

#20. I'm so sorry, that must have been very hard.
#23. Heehee
#24.all true
#25. I thought the same about Scott too.
#26. Yep next book ;)

Anita (anitanodiva) | 607 comments If Scott's death was other than a accidental overdose, we have a years long conspiracy going on. If Scott's death is related, it probably was a warning to his dad.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Sorry I haven't participated much in this one. I've been in a weird mood... doing puzzles and watching movies... and doing a little bit of canning (preserving). Working on my Italian. (I seem to be getting worse, which is just my imagination... I think!) I haven't even finished the book. Hope to, soon. Enjoyed reading your responses up to where I am. (Chapter 15?)

CD {Boulder Blvd} (boulderblvd) | 86 comments Discussion: Lisa Kay
1. I liked that she wasn't overly whiney, but as a character she never did much for me.
2. I thought Jeremy's character was a nice off-set to Nick and the two of them felt like brothers.
3.I wished his interest had started out as curiosity about the situation versus insta-attraction to Becca
4. Yes
5. More sinister
6. It would have felt more real if he had been more standoffish. This is the daughter of the guy who betrayed them and yet he's instantly alpha protector and then some.
7. The book didn't drop enough clues for an opinion
8. Not surprised because it seems like the last few books I've read, someone was. Although I know Jeremy and Charlie get together in a future book - I wasn't wanting the pairing as I'm not into matched sibling romances - Becca & Nick with brothers Jeremy and Charlie.
9. 6 were his friends, number 7 was the traitor
10. Way too soon for me...I don't like insta-lust
11. The plot is slow, I don't feel a "relationship" but the lust is acted on quickly.
Discussion: ShoSho
12. The hallway where someone can walk in...didn't care for it.
13. Yes
14. Cute puppy but it felt more like a plot device versus a real element. I was wondering about food, bath, shots...the normal routine when rescuing a pet.
15. I like his team, but they all blended together and I forgot whose name was what.
16. There definitely had to be someone higher up to make the service record changes.
17. Definitely a grittier element to the plot.
18. Didn't trust the cleaning lady.
19. It's all about the drugs
20. Yes
21. This scene played well with both Jeremy and Nick
22. A little too slapstick for me.
23. Now everyone is going to want a tattoo drawn on them...I'm next!
24. The insta-everything was just too quick, but I liked that they communicated.
25. I'm not sure that Dad was dirty - it's just the set up. I think eventually it will be found out he was actually killed because he was betraying the bad guys and not the good guys.
26. I don't think that an "organization" of this caliber would keep a kidnapped victim in one of their legitimate enterprises. They definitely would try to keep their illegal dealings separate and I think Charlie would have been kept somewhere else. Chrystal was definitely a set-up for a future book.
27. I'm cutting my losses. I really like the suspense plot, but there's just too little of it.
28. This one dragged for me and I only gave it 2 stars.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 607 comments Since there was no resolution to it all, we can only hope that it gets continued in the next book. I just hope that we don't have to wait until the end of the series for a resolution.

I think it will continue with the overall mystery but with 2 other MCs. Becca and Rixey got their HEA but we still don't know what really happened with her father.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 607 comments That's what I'm afraid of. The mystery will arc over the entire series. We'll have to read them all to find out what really happened. I just pray the following books are better than this one.

Nope. I didn't even finish my "in person" bookclub book, which is unusual. But maybe that was a good thing, as I had to keep my mouth shut at the meeting. LOL!

I've been in a really weird mood lately. Still watching way too much TV.

CD {Boulder Blvd} (boulderblvd) | 86 comments I've had a hard time being pulled into the last few books I've read (this being one of them). I love to read but now I feel like I'm in a reading funk.

I go through phases like that. At those times I just pick up what I feel like. Sometimes it's something short. Then I feel like I finished a read and it didn't require much to stick to it. Other times I think about what I feel like reading (or what kind of feels I want from the book) and just go with that. Of course, that's also probably why I have so many unfinished books. Oh well.

message 95: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Yeah, I don't often get in a reading funk. I'm usually reading something, even if it is a magazine. And I'm definitely reading Italian! But I'm not even listening to my audiobooks. **sigh** So, yeah, I'm definitely in a funk. Hope I get out of it soon.

Yes, Lara, I like doing the "something" short thing. That usually works for me. Maybe I'll try that.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 607 comments My cure for the Reading Funk is to read short, funny romances. Sometimes short sexy romantic suspense. Since it's generally great weather right now, I'd download a short book to my i-phone and take a hike. I guess the operative word is short, not to get tangled in a long involved plot.

Lara | 2335 comments I'm amazed by how high the ratings are. I may have to check it out, though I'm not a fan of the secret baby trope.

CD {Boulder Blvd} (boulderblvd) | 86 comments I picked up The Shark The Shark (Forgotten Files, #1) by Mary Burton from the library and I'm enjoying it. Hopefully it will be the cure...
