Joy (joyoustmjp) | 52 comments I remember a book I had when I was little, called Thunderbolt, about a horse of the same name. It wasn't Blaze and Thunderbolt, just "Thunderbolt". I don't remember when it was published, but it's a classic. I think the story was somewhat like Black Beauty, but not told from the horse's perspective, and I believe it took place in the U.S. It might have been published around the same time as the Anna Sewell book, but it was published no later than the 1960s. The edition I had was hardcover, no dust jacket, just a solid blue cover with the title in silver embossed scroll-like font. Does anybody know who the author was?

Joy (joyoustmjp) | 52 comments No, it was definitely called Thunderbolt, and it was a full novel. I'm not sure, but it might have taken place in Wyoming.

Here's a book called Thunderbolt, "the story of a stallion." From 1928. You can search on google for images of the cover. I'm seeing some red and maroon ones.
