Shelley | 1225 comments What do the following items have in common?

False teeth
Front bumper with the license plate
Anger-management homework notebook
Wallet with ID and money

Terri (terrilovescrows) | 292 comments I imagine they all were things that led to identifying the killer. Isnt the bumper from the OK bombing?

Shelley | 1225 comments Your answer is half done. They did led to identifying the criminal (not killers necessarily). So.... DING! DIN :)

BTW: The bumper in the question is not from the OK bombing case although you could be right about a front bumper helping to identify them in that case too.

Fishface | 18924 comments Huh. I would have guessed that they helped ID a victim. Which is all I got.

Shelley | 1225 comments I think my question is too vague. The answer is that they are all things criminals have left at the crime scene that lead to their capture.

So, DING! DING! DING! to Terri and Fishface.

False teeth
38-year-old Justin Stansfield who broke into a garage in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, England. While in the garage, Stansfield decided to help himself to some beer and popsicles. In a drunken stupor, he removed his false teeth to enjoy the popsicle, but when he was done, left his teeth behind!

Bumper with the license plate
In 2009, Shane Ingram of Grimsby, England and his friends decided to rob a ATM. They put a chain around the ATM and hooked the chain up to the car. The guys tried to pull the machine out by driving forward, but to no avail. After a second attempt failed, they left the cash machine, chain and the car's bumper behind with the license plate on it!

Anger-management homework notebook
After getting into an argument with a woman at a bus stop, Justin John Boudin of St. Paul, Minnesota, punched her in the face. He then attacked a Good Samaritan with a folder, which fell to the ground when Boudin fled. But cops tracked him down thanks to what was inside that folder.

Wallet with ID and money
February 7th, 2014 in Pasadena, California. 18-year-old Steven Diaz enters a supermarket to rob it but leaves his wallet with ID behind.

Apparently, criminals dropping items or forgetting something that can identify them happens a lot! That's a good thing.

Fishface | 18924 comments Oooh, you could have mentioned Gordon Cummins's gas mask!

message 7: by Shelley (new)

Shelley | 1225 comments I had to look that one up. That's a good one! :)
