An abandoned badger's den and a great source of prey for WindClan cats.

Ruby (rubyyy) Dustfeather pounced, and sat up, twitching his tail proudly. He brought his fresh-kill back near an abandoned rabbit hole, and kicked some dirt over it - he'd come back for it later. He looked around, looking for Harefoot. So far he'd caught a mouse and a bird, it was a pretty small bird, though, he thought to himself.

"Harefoot?"

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) Harefoot waggled her haunches, about to leap on possibly the biggest rabbit in WindClan history, she leaped and flinched when she hears Dustfeathers voice, the rabbit popped it's head up and saw Harefoot it squeaked and dashed away, she growled and landed awkwardly on her stomach. She quickly got up and dashes after the rabbit, chasing it down and then leaping onto it, killing it with one swift bite to the neck, she goes to find Dustfeather.

"He's going to pay for making me almost lose this rabbit," Harefoot muttered in between fur, she dragged the large rabbit back to the abandoned badger set.

Ruby (rubyyy) Dustfeather turned when he heard something behind him, but relaxed when he saw it was just Harefoot dragging a large rabbit back. However, once he noticed her angry, narrowed eyes his fur fluffed out in fright. He quickly tried to lick it back down, and, now uncomfortable, sat down in an attempt to still look dignified. "Pretty large rabbit you caught, Harefoot - do you think there's any good prey running about here?" He hoped she wouldn't skin him alive for whatever he'd done this time.

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) Digging a hole and covering the rabbit with dirt, she looked at Dustfeather, " There is and you almost made me lose one with you calling my name, next time, come find me don't yell my name," Harefoot snaps and she lifts her head, sniffing the air. She smelled shrew and went to go find it, leaving Dustfeather at the abandoned badger set.

Ruby (rubyyy) ((XD ugh I keep getting out of character, for some reason Dustfeather is really hard to write for me))

Dustfeather tried not to look hurt, and tried disguising it by crouching down, sniffing for prey. Then he sat up again, twitching his ears in annoyment. Not at Harefoot, but at himself. That didn't usually happen. With any other cat he'd have felt no fright or hurt or sadness or any of the silly emotions coursing through him when he was with Harefoot. Stop it, Dustfeather, she's just a she-cat - kind of a scary one, but stop acting weird.

A vole when skittering past his nose, but too late, Dustfeather grabbed at it - it was gone.

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) Harefoot came back, happily placing a shrew at her paws, " That's was quite a chase, I'm tired, I think we caught enough, that rabbit it big enough to feed all the queens, kits and elders," Harefoot said as she pointed to her mound. She padded over and dug it up, carefully shaking the dirt out as much as she could, she smiled softly as she purred to herself. " Alright, get your caught prey and come on, let's get back to camp before we worry Eaglestar," Harefoot said. But she was pretty sure Eaglestar would never care if she went missing, he hardly cared about her at all ever since he became a leader, all he ever did was treat her like an apprentice, yelling at her to do this and that, this and that, he never stopped. Harefoot sighed and began lugging the gigantic rabbit back to camp the best she could.

Ruby (rubyyy) Dustfeather looked around with a start, to see Harefoot walking off with her trophy. He hurriedly followed, and on the way dug up his own fresh-kill, not exactly as impressive as her's was, but still something. As he trotted along behind her, he heard her let out a soft sigh. Then he noticed her ears twitching absent-mindedly, and her tail accidentally hitting the moor-grass every once in a while, as if her mind was on something else. "Harefoot, is something wrong?" he asked, catching up.He glanced sideways at her, concerned. "You seem...bothered. I didn't mess up that badly with the rabbit, did I? You still caught it!" Now he was worried she was angry with him, and looked at her face anxiously.

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) Harefoot stopped, " My brother used to worry about me ever minute of the day when we were apprentices and kits, always there by my side, always making sure I saw the medicine cat after a battle with the other clans, he used to be my brother, even as a warrior he still did all the stuff, when he became deputy and then Leader, he changed and now he doesn't care about me anymore, all he does is yell at me and tells me to do stuff," Harefoot responded after she put the rabbit down, she then picked it up again and continues lugging it.

Ruby (rubyyy) "Oh..." Dustfeather paused, then ran to catch up again. "Well...I... I don't have much experience with this kind of stuff but... to me the simple options looks like it would be to talk -" He winced as soon as he said it, hearing the cheesiness of what he'd said. "What I mean is," he continued, "is that maybe there's just a little misunderstanding and -" He stopped again. "Okay, I'll admit, I'm not so good with this, and I don't really know what to say. But... I would like to help... if you'd tell me how to do it... and let me." He looked over at her, and waited until their eyes met.

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) Harefoot looked at Dustfeather, she stopped again and looked at him, " I'll talk to him alone first," Harefoot said softly, " But if I can't get through, maybe you can try talking to him." Harefoot said as she picked the rabbit up again.

Ruby (rubyyy) Dustfeather nodded seriously, and as they resumed walking, they both fell silent. Dustfeather was thinking about having a sibling. He'd never known of any siblings, he was taken away from his mother before he could remember anything. What he did remember was the sweet, milky scent of her, and a name that slipped in and out, just beyond his reach. He had absolutely no memories of his father, and so assumed he had abandoned him soon after his birth, if not before. What would it have been like if he'd grown up with siblings, and his parents? Would he have memories like those he sees being made around camp - of kits tumbling around with eachother outside the nursery, or brother and sister apprentices going out hunting together, or warriors fighting side-by-side with their siblings in battle? Would he have good memories or bad? Did he even have siblings? Where were they now? What happened to-

He was suddenly knocked - quite literally - out of his thoughts when he walked right into a large rock, and stumbled back, dizzy.

j a m m e s (thepanbigensister) Harefoot looked back at Dustfeather, " You okay Dustfeather?" Harefoot asked as she looked over her shoulder, she shown no emotion as she stood, rabbit at her foot and her head turned to Dustfeather was standing near a rock, looking like he was dizzy. Harefoot turned when he didn't answer and lugged the big rabbit back to camp.

(( back to clearing? ))
