Please keep all discussion and speculation to the events of Part 1 (Chapters 1-4).

No spoiler tags required. Though it would be highly appreciated if you Uncheck Add to my Update Feed to avoid accidentally spoiling this for your good read friends.

Please do not discuss events from later chapters/books. Referring back to events from a previous section/book is fine

A bit of a slow start. Min returns to the Armyln, and she's not going anywhere it seems.

But Elaida is suspicious of Siuan, Morainne and Rand.

Meanwhile there is some kind of attack on all three of the Ta'veeran. Rand suspects a forsaken, but Morainne disagrees. Black Adja maybe?

Bill | 1596 comments Finally managed to finish this section. Think it took me about 15 attempts on my Kindle and 3 audiobook attempts to get through it.

Min's visions were pretty bleak for those in the White Tower. I wonder if they can be releated to Elaida's concerns about the Amyrlin. From Elaida's section it seemed like she is working against the Dark One in her own way but I wonder if she will end up helping him more than she means to. In the last book Egwene saw her as black aja in her accepted trials but she doesn't look to be at this time.

The attacks on Perrin and Rand both seemed to be attacks based on their fears but I didn't really understand the cards coming alive on Mat. Maybe I am trying to read too much into it.

Really interested to see what comes of Thom playing the Game of Houses with the Tairen nobles on Rand's behalf.

The start of this book was painful. Cant say I'm surprised you had so many false starts.

I think Elaida cares more about her own power than the actions of the dark.

I'm not sure about Mat's attack either.

Bill | 1596 comments My false starts were due to interruptions by people not boredom. It wasn't the greatest start but I liked all the different perspectives we got.

Just noticed in this section that Moraine's surname is Damodred. Isn't that the same as Elayne's half brother Galad? Are they related?

Ah. We'll have to agree to disagree then :)

Sumant | 522 comments The first two chapters combines were like 3 hours on my audio book, I can remember what's Min's visions are telling her and she even sees Amrylin naked on a stone.

There is freak attack on Rand/Perrin/Mat and from Morarine's explanation it is a part of weakening of seals from the dark one's prison it is like when starts boiling the bubbles start rising up, one of such bubble escaped and caused all of this.
