Help me find something similar!

I loved these books. I finished them last year, and haven't found anything thats similar to them yet. They were not urban fantasy, nor paranormal romance, nor horror per say, but they have parts of each. They were so interesting and kept me guessing. This is one of the best series, to me, that I had ever read. I've looked on google, fictfact, and in other groups to see what people recommend, and have had no luck yet. If you can think of anything similar, story wise, please let me know!

I've heard that The Dresden Files are good.
