Light's Shadow is my first novel and it forms part one of a trilogy (but rest assured that part two has been written and part three is well underway).

The story follows a wide cast that have spent their entire lives in space aboard an immense starship. As the ship nears the planet that will become the colonists' new home, a series of violent murders, the discovery of a black hole on the edge of their new solar system, and the surprise realisation that there is another ship in their vicinity ignites an elaborate plot that raises questions about human nature, meaning, and purpose.

The blurb is as follows:
Taras Kovic, the richest man to have ever lived, has only one dream. Taras dreams of the future.
When Ares Belle's husband goes missing after a night of drinking she returns home to find her house ransacked. Delinquent teen Riley Marclund, directionless and naïve, finds himself infatuated with a feisty girl who has an aversion to technology. The beautiful and dangerous Detective Carlisle enlists the help of Doctor Willem Stockhold to piece together a trail of gruesome murders. Lee Goku, a manipulative and cunning politician is fed up with the limitations of a democratic Council and has put plans in motion that will deliver power to his eager hands. And Famke Draskovic, a solitary enigma, discovers something truly disturbing lurking in the depths of space.

I'd like to offer 10 copies for R2R in digital formats (ePub, Kindle), just let me know your preference. I'm pretty easy about the deadline, I'd just like some more eyes on the work - by July would be pretty great though. So, if you're interested, please get in touch.

Thanks for looking!

- Phil
