Tracey (traceyrb) ch 21: The history of a self tormentor is the saddest chapter so far. How can a person so misread every good intention from others? What do you think of Miss Wade and what could have caused this state of being?

Tracey (traceyrb) The truth of what is troubling Mr Merdle is revealed. What do you think of his actions?
Reaping the whirlwind: what do you think of Arthur's actions?
Which of the two is the true honourable gentleman?

Tracey (traceyrb) I have finished the book and loved it. It was hard at the beginning but got better as the book progressed. The ending was very beautiful. Throughout the book Dickens the state of imprisonment is examined. There are also many symmetries in the book; light verses dark, riches verses poverty, selflessness verses selfish narcissistic behaviour, truth and integrity verses lies and deceit. I urge you to persist with the book when you have the time. I gave it 5 stars.
