Ririchiyo Shirakiin | 7 comments I read this book a while ago... I remember it fairly vaguely. I'll try my best to be accurate but I will probably make some mistakes ^_^

I thought it was called something like 'Cat Magic', but I can't find it, and I don't remember the author...

I think it's about a young girl who goes to stay with her aunt on a farm or something... And somehow, she picks up this stray cat (I think it bites and scratches her multiple times throughout the story). And she finds out that it's magic - it has the power to time travel. So this girl travels around with this cat.

I remember one part where a half cat-half woman figure stands at the end of the girls bed? (I don't remember it being a horror book though, just adventure and magic)

Also, I remember the girl and the cat going to Ancient Egypt, and the girl thought that all the people were gathering around to look at her, but actually they were entranced by the cat XD

Thank you :)

Lou Rocama | 457 comments Cat's Magic Cat's Magic by Margaret Greaves ?

This was on a list of children's time travel fiction:

If Cat's Magic isn't it, I'd have a look through it.

Lou Rocama | 457 comments It looks like your comment got cut off.

I'm not that surprised you had trouble. The book is 25 years old and has 15 ratings. Fortunately, there are a lot of very specific lists to use in these situations.

Lou Rocama | 457 comments Of course, one still has to find the right list.
