Interesting question - I only know him from the short stories. You could look at his books here on GR and see if reviewers or lists tag them as LGBT
This takes a bit of out-of-the-box thinking, but one could argue that Moyna in Interstellar Pig is transgender. Moyna is a female, gas-filled octopus-like creature from Flaeioub, yet when visiting Earth, she assumes the male human persona of Manny using Disguise Selector equipment.
I'm disappointed in myself, but at the time I read The House of Stairs (14 years old maybe) I didn't recognize the very clear indicators that Peter, the softest of the 5 main characters was gay and had a mutual and loving relationship with another boy, Jasper, in the recent past and was now quite obviously and unfortunately attracted to the bad boy, Oliver, also trapped in The House of Stairs. Mr. Sleator was screaming at me, "It's ok to be gay" and I missed it. Just like around that time I didn't get the obvious message in the Bronski Beat Song, and glaringly obvious video, Small Town Boy. How do we miss these messages when we need them most? :-(House of Stairs: https://www.amazon.com/House-Stairs-W...

He wrote Interstellar Pig and Singularity, books that my 5th grade English teacher read out loud to the class--I'm happy that I was hearing queer voices even before I was able to seek them out on my own.
I know William Sleator wrote gay stories for How Beautiful the Ordinary: Twelve Stories of Identity and Am I Blue?: Coming Out from the Silence, but I was wondering did he ever have any LGBT characters in his novels?
