I think that David Carnoy relies on his own experience from somewhat 'pre-historic' times before the massive s/p revolution, but most of his observations are still sound and he offers an overall good summary. Thanks for bringing it in

My own data would probably be in the lower parts of the graphs, but it's hard to argue with statistics. The link gives a fair idea of the prices' range
