So I felt this had the best start of the trilogy so far. The last two dragged, especially the first book. I liked that we only had 1 chapter of Darrow in prison, and he got on with the story. I was worried too much of that would be focused on him in prison or whatever.

Victra is alive! I wondered how she'd react to things. I'm glad she's still with Darrow.

Sevro took over for his dad, and he's using Darrow's old eyes. Man that's creepy. But I love him. He's maybe my favorite character now. It's awesome that he saved Darrow's family.

Ragnar is really funny now, especially when he stole Sevro's candy.

My big question now is what Mustang will do.

It's interesting that everyone knows the truth about Darrow. I'll be curious to see how that plays out.

I think jumping straight into the action made this the best start. The Jackal is so twisted and it made me sad to hear that Thistle joined him. I wonder if Darrow and Cassius can patch things up at some point.

So glad Victra made it even paralyzed.

Sevro with Darrow's eyes is really disturbing but made me laugh.
