Did you have the initial impression that Gibson had murdered the priest?

I think I did, particularly since I read the author's acknowledgments at the beginning of the book, with respect to teenage boys' use of computer games.

Gibson's physical and mental anguish sure led me to wonder if he had committed that crime.

[Robin]

I thought he was the person who stabbed the priest. It took me a while to realize he was wondering who killed the priest himself.

[Jonetta]

I was certain he was the one who stabbed the priest! When I realized he wasn't, I reread the passage and figured out I made that leap on my own.

[Robin]
