We learn early on about Gwen's connection to the killer who's leaving the heads of his victims around the District. Did you understand her ethical dilemma? Should she have contacted law enforcement (Maggie, Tully, or Julia)? Why or why not?

She really should have reported it to the police. I am pretty sure that kind of thing should override her ethics.

Agreed. Doctor/patient confidentiality does not extend to the commission of a crime. If the doctor knows or even suspects that their patient will commit a crime they are obligated to contact the police.

This really tested my acceptance of Gwen as a qualified psychologist. I didn't see any conflict at all, especially as she wasn't sure the killer was her client. The threat against her father was more compelling but, come on. She's surrounded by FBI friends and colleagues and could have easily figured out how to share the info with them.

Serious plot hole, IMO.

I agree. Gwen made some bad assumptions, too, didn't she?

I agree with everyone. It's not a questions of ethics or confidentiality if you are receiving messages/clues from someone claiming to have killed several women. Why wouldn't she tell Maggie? They could have got protection for Gwen's parents.
