Where'd You Go, Bernadette is a quirky story which recounts the events leading up to the mysterious disappearance of the even quirkier Bernadette Fox. Bernadette disappears in the midst of an animated neighborly dispute leaving her Microsoft genius husband dumbfounded and her 15 year old daughter, Bee, determined to get to the bottom of it all.
We read this for my f2f book club last month. I've been on a GoodReads hiatus since then, nursing an injured husband and juggling the demands of a hectic baseball schedule. So I'm just now getting around to posting reviews on GR. But I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was witty and fun and very different from anything I'd read before. I loved Bernadette.
Loved this one. Just saw Maria Semple has a 2nd book coming out this year with similar cover art. I'll probably read it just based on how much I liked this one.
Today Will Be Different. Weird, the goodreads page had cover art on it yesterday and now it's gone. It was still there when you google the book, so is a terrible tiny version of the cover.
