I'm looking forward to being a member of this group as a reader, but I'm also an author, and as this is the place to tell you all about it, here it is:

I have so far written two books that will hopefully be of interest to the group: Imperfect Strangers (a psychological thriller) & VOID (a psychological mystery).



I also write fantasy, so in the hope that some of you might venture from fantastic thrillers to thrilling fantasy, I thought I might mention them too: I have a completed trilogy Fuel to the Fire Ruler's Desire Elemental Cascade & a series Alloria Eye of Dominion

It's good that you (and other writers) can vary their genres. Some have quite a number of different genres they write! Good for us readers :)

Yes, I like to vary my writing as much as my reading; each has their pleasures and difficulties and it stops things from getting stale.

I guess that's true, as it's certainly true for me as a reader. I read most genres - some not, but most I do:)

Okay then, back from a lazy holiday, things that needed sorting are sorted, and now it's time to get down to some writing. And what better way to start than to review the book I read before holidaying and the two I read while doing so. I reckon I'm getting better at deciding what to read, as for me, all three were worthy of five stars:

As the thread title indicates, writing just isn't on the cards right now.
The reason: a new addition to the family, named Dexter.

You need to raise everything - including speakers - very high ;)

They're tall floor standing speakers. I think I will wrap some cardboard around the bottom. Better safe than sorry.

Thanks all, the book is at 32 in the Australian psychological thriller chart at the moment.

Dexter is growing fast, but still looks and behaves like the pup he is. I'm busy over the weekend, so I'll post some pics early next week.

I'm hoping to get back to writing soon, but just need to re-extend my vocabulary beyond "sit", "down", "off", "stay" etc…

Meanwhile, as promised, here's a couple of pictures of the creature responsible for my lack of typed words: Left pic, Dexter trying his paw at fishing on the patio: Right pic, Dexter meeting his cousin (my sister's dog, who's only five weeks older than Dexter) this weekend.

Yes, we thought he was really big until we saw him next to my sister's dog.
