Sarah (mayapaya) I normally don't read ebooks but lately i have been. I noticed that every time i get an ebook and try to find it here (with the ISBN matching), the number of pages are almost always different from mine. I do NOT select the Kindle edition, just the "ebook format/edition" yet like i said, it doesn't match up. I'm not sure if the page number is different because of the app I use or what. I have been correcting them but lately i'm starting to wonder why this keeps happening. Not sure if it helps but I normally use the Nook app to read my books.

The only formats for which book-in-hand does not trump publisher/Amazon/etc. data are ebooks. User settings, precise model of ereader, and other variables can mean that the same book on your ereader and mine have different page counts. Therefore, for ebooks (including Kindle editions), the page number should come from the publisher.

So please do not correct ebook page count based on your copy, unless you have first verified with the publisher's website that they have the same number.
