"Really?" Jayden asked. He did not notice the humidity change. Then again, he was the son of the south wind.

Jayden smiled a little. "Maybe you should go somewhere with shade and air conditioning," he said.

Jayden chuckled. "So... You work in the camp store? Shouldn't they have fans in there or something?"

"That's terrible," said Jayden, wrinkling his nose but still smiling. "I mean, the camp already makes money selling strawberries all year round. You would think they would just buy a new one." He placed on her shoulder with a little admiration. "You choosing to put your money towards that is great."

"You are raising kids on your own?" said Jayden. That made her more amazing and beautiful in his eyes.

"Well, maybe you need more help taking care of them," Jayden said. "I mean, you are a teenaged girl. It sounds like the two of them are very overwhelming. You could use a little break now and then too."

"Babysitters, public schools... Then, there are all sorts of other institutions. Well, depending on what the living situation is," said Jayden.

"Well... At least, you have a nice, regular place to stay with plenty of food," said Jayden. "And you can always ask some other nature spirits or demigods to babysit. Then, there is also Chiron, who is one of the wisest, knowledgeable teachers in history."

"Wow... Olympus?" Jayden asked. His eyes widened in intrigue. "I mean, what would the situation be like in Olympus for them?"

"Yeah, that's true," said Jayden. "Plus what little kid wouldn't want to go there?" His gaze grew distant. He definitely had never been there before.

Mr. D is Camp Half-Blood's official manchild with grandiose delusions of fermented grape and constant socialization (He also smelled like rancid fruits, but Daisy wasn't going to mention that-- she had some common sense.). When Mr. D had called Daisy in for a favor, she was indifferent and ready to turn down his asinine request. Endanger herself so that some drunkard can get a can of soda?! Daisy Blanchefluer considered herself as an irreplaceable valuable who deserved respect, not some soccer mom who goes grocery shopping.
Daisy was well-aware that she could easily decline this request by simply notifying Chiron and was prepared to do so, but then Dionysus gave her an offer that she could not ignore.
Free reign and electronics in camp for an entire week? Just grab a few packs of soda from a nearby convenience store? There was no way she was willing to skip past that opportunity. And so, she begrudgingly accepted the 'favor' all while trying to ignore Mr. D's smug smirk (which didn't really work-- she returned to her cabin half-fuming in irritation).
A few days later, and Daisy was here, standing next to the 40-feet golden replica of Athena that towered above her 5-foot-6 stature with intimidation. Its shield glistened with the early signs of dawn, shining in warm hues. She would have found this calming, but instead, it only fueled her impatience. Daisy wanted this to be done and over, but her supposed-teammates were not here yet. She had things to do, people to chase after, and her precious time was being wasted.
"Ugh, I'm going to go by myself if they don't arrive in the next fifteen minutes." She murmured to herself, tongue clicking against the roof of her mouth. Others might be gifted with the patience of a saint, but Daisy, on the other hand, was 'gifted' with the temperament of a demon.

In the distance, Anuki walked towards the statue. His red-orange hair seemed to be shining bright in the sunlight, maybe because of the fact he was a son of Apollo. Next to him, was his hellhound Linus. People called him his pet, but he considered them bestfriends. They went everywhere together. Anuki was so inteigued by hellhounds, he ended up learning everything humanly, and demigodly, possible about them. Some people even considered his love an obsession. As he approached the girl, he looked up at the statue. "Grandmother of my future children." He said to himself and Linus in a soft, hushed tone. He then looked down when he was a couple feet away from Daisy. "You're... ughhh.. the flower girl right?" Anuki said as he slowly held his hand out for a handshake, his smile as bright as his hair was. He wasn't very good with names. He even forgot someone else was supposed to be here to go shopping with them. At this point, he was just taking it as it all came by. "Winging it" as some people would say.
(( no, it's really good!! idk what u r talking abt! :0 i always love ur posts !! <3))
A figure approached in the distance, and Daisy automatically made herself appear more presentable. It was a force of habit and one that wasn't entirely unpleasant. As a child of Aphrodite, she was well-versed in the arts of attraction, and appearances accounted for a good portion of all romances. However, as the figure became more distinguishable, Daisy's shoulders slumped in disappointment. Gods, it was Anuki Slone and his 'dog' (more like a spawn of hell, but she will keep that to herself). He wasn't necessary a bad guy, but the fact that she couldn't find any dirt on him other than a crush on Annabeth Chase made him suspicious.
"Flower Girl?" Daisy squinted at him, slightly snarling. "Anuki Slone, you do know who I am, right?" She looked at his hand for a moment and decided to push it away. "I'm not shaking any hands until proper introductions are given. Also, why is your dog here?" She examined the hellhound in front of her with an accusing gaze. Daisy and animals never really did get along-- nature, in general, hated her (which was pretty ironic considering her name). This caused her to have a certain prejudice against animals, and the fact that it was a hellhound made the predicament even worse.

Anuki scoffed after she slapped his hands away. The good news was Anuki never took anything serious. This helped because he didn't exactly get mad at her gesture. He just kept smiling and laughed when she asked him who he was. He crossed his arms, shifting all his body weight to his back leg. He raised an eyebrow and looked her up and down. "Hmmm.. Named after a flower, thinks she's too good for a handshake, and hates my bestfriend before getting to know him." Anuki turned towards Linus and knelt next to him whispering in his ear. "Also thinks she's all that but couldn't land a guy like me and the attitude." Anuki stood back up and laughed. "You sound like a child of Aphrodite." Anuki said as he curled his fingers looking at his nails. "Am I supposed to know who you are? Did you like make Zeus fall in love with your mom or something?" Anuki joked laughing looking at Linus as Linus looked back at him. Anuki had an empathy link with Linus and he was able to tell if Linus was laughing with him, which was almost all the time anyway. Anuki also had a bad habit of sometimes being rude, even if not intended. It also wasn't his fault, to an extent, that he couldn't remember her name.

Audrey made her way over to the statue of Athena, little chores like this weren't something she would participate in on a regular basis however, she did still have to do things every now and then. She was running a bit late already, she had been taking a nap just before she left, as she rarely ever gets any sleep she was more than frustrated. She soon began to close in on the statue and she noticed that the other two were already there with a hell hound. Because that won't draw attention... She thought rather perplexed by what that boy was doing bringing that out there, it wasn't exactly monster repellent. She pushed her hair out of her face before jogging up to the others. "Sorry, I'm so late, I'm Audrey, who are you?" She asked happily, smiling at the people standing before her. There was clearly some sort of tension between the two, how so she had no idea, but it was there none the less.
(( no worries!! length doesn't matter!! :D ))
Blood rushed to her face in anger and embarrassment. This was an insult to her dignity! She's Daisy Blanchefleur and this boisterous, loud-mouthed redhead was underneath her! It would have been fine if this was a normal day, where she didn't have to complete Mr. D's stupid request, but instead, Daisy will have to spend the next hour or so with this douchebag and his slobbering dog! To make matters worse, she had to skip on her date for this. What a total waste of her time.
"I will have you know that I am extremely well-known in this camp!" She practically hissed at him, each word filled to the brim with venom. "And for your information, I don't need to help my mother with Zeus. She already has the majority of the gods drooling at her beauty." Much like her mother, Daisy's reign in camp was mostly owed to her charm and appearance-- bright eyes, blonde hair, and perfect figure-- she was a real-life princess. It was impossible to deny that her attractiveness, but her personality needed a renovation.
Just as Daisy was about to verbally attack Anuki, she was abrupted by a new voice. Ah, Audrey Lockwood, the local insomniac. Daisy tsk-ed and quickly scanned the latter's appearance with contempt in her scrutinizing gaze. "Gods, why did Mr. D assigned these losers to accompany me?" She murmured, inaudible to everyone besides herself.
"Since I'm feeling nice today, I guess I will oblige you two." Her eyes rolled back in annoyance. While some campers might not know of her, Daisy definitely knew of them. She was everyone's intel and a professional gossiper. "My name is Daisy Blanchefleur, daughter of Aphrodite." Her glossy, pink lips lifted into a smile, one that was offputting and screamed 'I'm-only-doing-this-to-be-polite.'

Audrey laughed lightly at the joke. "Well, it's nice to meet you both!" She exclaimed raising an eyebrow at Daisy, her greeting was a tad too sweet for it to be very genuine. "Judging by your greeting, Daisy, you care about people's godly parent..." Audrey sighed as she entered an over dramatic bow. "Audrey Lockwood, daughter of Chaos and granddaughter of Aether." She said teasingly. She rose from the bow with a smile. She found it funny that Daisy decided to say who her mother was as part of her greeting. It was already quite clear due to her appearance and attitude. "Anyways, anything you two have left to do before we leave?" She asked, now deciding to get down to business.
"Excuse me!" Daisy cried out in outrage. Yes, she had a bad tendency to go around like a carousel, but that does not mean anyone was permitted to call her out on it, especially not him. "Take that back or else I swear to the River Styx that I will humiliate you in front of everyone." She spat at him, hazel eyes sharpened into a deadly glare. Daisy closed the distance between her and Anuki with loud, thumping footsteps until they were face-to-face. She jarred a finger at his chest and leaned in, nostrils flared out in anger.
"Oh wait, sorry, I forgot that you already are an embarrassment! Maybe that's why Annabeth fell for Percy instead of you." A smug smirk wormed its way onto her lips, perfectly complementing her haughty laughter. Daisy knew that this was not a mature way to handle things and she should have ignored it instead, but she frankly didn't really care.
With that done, Daisy backed off and turned towards Audrey, one blonde brow raised in suspicion and slightly contempt. "Oh, you're that girl." Her pouty lips pulled into a thin, tight line. This was going to be a long and tedious task, Daisy could already feel it. "Nope, I'm fine and dandy. I already prepared everything last night." She said, popping the 'p' in 'nope'. "Thanks for asking, though!" Daisy smiled at the latter. Her 'gratitude' and words came out sickly sweet and fake. Maybe if they had caught Daisy at a better time, she would have treated them with kindness, but that was obviously not the case.

Audrey stayed back, avoiding getting into the kerfuffle between the other two. It was really just wasting their time, but if they got all that out now it would be less to deal with later. Once the two had finished their little argument Audrey decided to put herself back into the situation. "Well, glad to hear that..." She muttered glancing at Daisy. It seemed as though she may be the one to go causing problems during this little mission of sorts. "Let's refrain from fighting again shall we?" Audrey exclaimed with a broad, but oddly cold smile. "I mean the less we fight the sooner we are back to doing what we want to do right?" She offered tilting her head to the side, still smiling brightly. She thought that if she gave the idea of getting it done quickly the two wouldn't fight and she wouldn't have to intervene. Most importantly was still, of course, her getting back to relaxing.
"At least I can actually get some! Your little mutt from hell probably scares away any and all of your romantic prospects!" Daisy retorted, her dainty hands rolled into tight fists. Gods, why was she teamed up with him out of everyone on this wasteland!? She huffed and crossed her arms over her chest, eyes closed in petulance. It doesn't matter anymore, the fate of her next three hours was already decided for her.
"Fine, I guess you're right. Just make sure that he keeps his mangy mutt away from me," Daisy said with a pointed glance at Anuki's hellhound. "Anyway, we're going to have to walk to the nearest bus stop, according to Mr. D." She absentmindedly spoke, one hand in her backpack and pulling out a parchment map. "Let's see here..." Daisy scanned the map, tracing a trail from Camp Half-Blood to the closest metro station. "Ah-ha! Found it-- And it's ten miles away from here." She groaned and her shoulders slumped with disappointment. "I can't walk that far! I have delicate feet."

Audrey sighed annoyed by the little jabs at one another. "You realize we are all supposed to stick together right?" She asked raising an eyebrow. "Either Daisy shadow travels or we take the bus." Audrey declared firmly. She didn't feel like having to deal with Mr.D complaining about the job not being done properly, his blathering would just be another annoyance for the day. "I mean, that is unless you would like to walk there, I could even make you both hold hands if you'd like..." She offered her voice strongly laced with dull sarcasm. She wanted to make sure everyone was on the same page, besides, if they split up they wouldn't know what was happening to one another.
"Well, considering that I'm not willing to walk ten miles in wedges, shadow-traveling is pretty much our only option." Daisy scowled, her facial features twisted into a scrunched-up expression. She didn't have anything against shadow-traveling per se (other than the fact your entire physical entity becomes dispersed into intangible particles), but the fact that she was going to have to teleport on a hellhound evoked a sense of disgust. She looked at the hellhound, meticulously examining it with a glare that could kill. Daisy didn't want to ruin her outfit by covering it in fur. This was one of the few times that she could escape that hideous, orange t-shirt. Honestly, couldn't they have made it any other color? Like cerulean blue? But no, they went with a bright, eye-straining orange.
OK do we have one oh yeah trails I'll post first.
