All, since most members here are authors/editors/illustrators, this folder is an experiment to help make connections.
- Looking for a cover artist or editor? Post a request here.
- Perhaps you are an illustrator or editor and you are looking for manuscripts...that works too.

In many cases, discussions can (and should) be continued offline via private messages, but if you are open to commissions (or commissioning others) you are welcome to advertise/connect here to get things started.

Ashe, I would like to see some portfolios too. Not sure if we have any 100% illustrators here or not. We do have a few illustrator-authors who either (a) like to draw their own material or (b) commission others. Some are listed below. I am sure there are more.

1) Member Ralph E. Laitres commissions illustrators for his Thorgil Bloodaxe: Enter the White Queen series. His facebook page is pretty nice: https://www.facebook.com/Thorgil.Bloo...

2) Member Milton J. Davis, Sword & Soul guru, hires a bunch of illustrators and graphic artists for his growing media empire, that includes Sword & Soul video games.

3) Member Tom Barczak draws illustrations (sketches) for his Veil of the Dragon series.

4) I illustrated 50+ illustrations for Lords of Dyscrasia. For the sequel, Spawn of Dyscrasia, I hired Ken Kelly for the cover. A sampling of the art can be seen on pinterest:

Donna Murillo (Donna_Harriman_Murillo) | 7 comments my name is Donna. i'm a 3D illustrator. which means my illustrations are created in several 3D programs and then finished in Photoshop. the illustrations i mostly do are fantasy, science fiction, and children's. being a fantasy author you must find it very difficult to find an illustrator to work with. i'm easy going and try to come up with a design that meets your needs. here is my portfolio if you are interested https://99designs.com/profiles/dhmdes... please let me know if i can be of any assistance to you.

Phil Emery | 65 comments Love the way this (ably facilitated) group expands without losing the central thrust (s&s pun intended, sorry) of interest. I've been a member for some time, while working on a sword-&-sorcery/writing degree. After a long period as a full time carer I'm attempting to reignite my career as a writer/lecturer, and have quite a few fantasy-ish comic scripts which I'd like to start submitting to the market. Trouble is that unlike a few years ago, publishers seem to only want complete story/art packages. If any illustrator would like to see some of those scripts with a view to possible collaboration, please feel free to let me know. (For a bit of background maybe take a look at:

Phil Emery | 65 comments Hi Donna - Thanks for getting back to me. The wesite link in your earlier post doesn't work for me for some reason, but I've managed to look at the youtube link. I like your work, certainly, but I wonder if my stuff might be a bit too dark (metaphorically!) to be an exact fit. Maybe you need to read a bit of script to see what I mean. (PS: Just to make one thing clear before we go any further: I'm presently helping pay my father's care costs, so what I mean by 'collaboration' is just that - can't afford to commission a cup of coffee right now:->)

Katrina | 3 comments Donna, do you do posters as well? I'm looking for someone to bring my characters (Annunaki Gods & Goddesses) to life.

All, I set up separate folders for Book Covers and for Editing to help separate possible needs.

It may be a bit redundant, but feel welcome to repost some promotions/requests in these other folders.

Sarah Avery (sarahavery) | 17 comments I'll be trying my hand at Kickstarter and self-publishing later this year, so I'm casting about for book design services, too. Do any of you folks do book design?

Hey all,

I wrote Beyond Redemption, 88, and a third book I just signed a deal for but can't yet announce, and am now offering my services as an editor because I'd rather do that than drive a forklift.

Here's a link to my site, and I am always available to chat.

Cheers!

Michael, glad to have you here. BTW, You and I share guests posts on : Katrina Sisowath's Draconis web page.

Lots of established and aspiring authors here, Hope some can help keep you off the fork lift.

Anyway, this thread also a sub folder just for Editors that it would be good to repost this. Otherwise, I may add another link to ensure browsers of the folders find it.

Will do. Thanks!

message 18: by Damien (new)

Damien Black | 23 comments This is embryonic, but friends helping me with my fiction project want to use my website as a vehicle to showcase the world in which the stories are set.

I'm a pretty good virtual cartographer, but at some point it might be necessary to get colour versions of my maps done (my world like Howard's is a fairly close approximation of our own though of course the geography is unique).

So I thought I'd just put the word out here, as I'd be interested to hear how much an artist might expect to be paid for touching up my world maps and giving them (quite literally) a splash of colour.

Thanks for reading!
