Nikhil Rahul | 5 comments I read a preview of this book last year. Two girls, after many years in captivity gets rescued by FBI?.. They try to have a life.. something like that. Sorry that's all I remember.

``Laurie (laurielynette) There was a case in Cleveland, Ohio I vaguely recall hearing about. Not sure if the FBI was involved though.

Was your book fiction, Nikhil?

In the case in Cleveland the women managed to free themselves after many years in captivity (and there were 3 of them.) No FBI involved in it, just the local police after the women made their escape. He later killed himself in jail. There was a man who heard the women yelling for help and managed to help them break down the outside door after they'd freed themselves.

I do know that 2 of the women were going to write a book together about their time in captivity and afterwards. But I have no idea when it was scheduled to be published.

Wiki page on this event https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ariel_C... at the bottom there is mention of books about the case, so I guess you could check those out too.

Nikhil Rahul | 5 comments It had been published. I think its only two women in the book.

``Laurie (laurielynette) Here's another guess:

A Stolen Life about the Jacee Lee Dugard case.
She also had a daughter by this time so that would make 2 survivors rescued.

Nikhil, you mentioned YA Mystery, so it's definitely fiction?

Were the two girls abducted by an estranged parent - e.g., If You Find Me by Emily Murdoch?

Are they sisters, twins, friends or strangers?

Does most of the story take place after their rescue - when they're teenagers?
