I read a book few years back but i can't fnd it in my reading list. In that book there where a group of friends. A couple that where young sweethearts all of the group where getting ready for college. But the heroine gets pregrnant her bf wants to be a top notch lawyer. So the girl tells her other friend in the group who suggesr that they get married and he will take care of her and baby. They get married the hero still does'nt know of pregnancy gets heartbroken and leaves for college.

Hero never looks back few years later he comes back to his town top-notch lawyer doing a business deal buying a plot or something. The law firm he comes to do his meeting is were the heroine working as a personal assistant. So they meet the girl had the hero twins which he later finds out.

The heroine still married to her friend but now her husbands turned into a abusive drunk. Oh he's a builder and the hero wrecking a building sothe husband will be jobless. The husband a really sadistic fuck hes raped bis wife regulary verbullary abuses her, takes money from her.

He was with another girl who was the heroine bff but she dumped him and was'nt that into him . So he married the heroine and now years later blames heroine that he could of married his love. Plus his true motive of marrying and helping the heroine was too get revenage from hero. The husband always acted as if he was the hero best friend and even made the hero believe that. But in reality he was jealous of the hero about everything that he had parents that made a good living, hero was popular, hero was in basketball and also he had a girlfriend. The heroine only found out of this major jealousy personality after they got register married and came to town to inform the hero. There was a scene where the husband beats the hero up screaming at himthat now he has everything.

The heroine has twins a boy & girl who are teenagers now also another 7yrs old girl from her husband.

Its a contempory romance maybe published in 2000 on wards not in the 90ts i'm not sure.
