Mom - there were 4 daughters, a year apart - we had a continual challenge. We each brought home library books, read each others and kept a running total. Mom read all of the books we brought home and talked to us about them. We are all still readers, but I think I am the only one still doing challenges.

Tanya D was our April M.o.M. (Member of the Month). So this challenge is based on the information she shared about herself.
1. Tanya is single, with no children - Read a "stand-alone" book--The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend by Katarina Bivald

2. She got her love of reading from her parents. - Who influenced your love of reading? My parents also. We always received the daily newspapers which I saw my parents reading. When we got to school we had Weekly Readers and Scholastic book lists that we could buy from. Books were .25, .30, and .40 back then. My mom also subscribed to Beginning Books and Let's Find Out About books and we'd read aloud from them.
3. She loves thunderstorms and blustery, windy days. - Read a book with a weather-related word in the title, or weather-related image on the cover. e.g. The Lightning Thief or A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick (snow on cover)
4. Tanya's favorite comfort food is mashed potatoes. - What's your favorite way to have potatoes? I like them all ways. No particular favorite way.
5. Tanya likes to watch baseball - Pick your favorite baseball team, and read a book set in that city or state. For example, you could pick the Texas Rangers and read a book set in Dallas, or even one set anywhere else in Texas.
If you need help ... Pick any team from THIS LIST
I tried but I ran out of time. I am half way through the favorite team's city book but I'm not done with it yet. It's Not Quite Juliet by Katherine Rhodes. It's set in Pittsburgh. Go Pirates!
